    It's a shame, A few wks ago after getting off the road for a year, I decided
    to give it a try again, Went to Knight again hoping I would see change.
    When They gave me my trk (volvo) the trk just came out of the shop.
    The inside right fender well was hanging on the right steer tire, I should
    of known.
    next morning got it fixed, the mech said he didnt know why it was over looked.
    When I went down the road with this truck it shimmed in the front end,
    the computer (quacom) went on an off had to be a short. I told Disp about
    it. same reponce from last time with Knight, after you del or get another load we can get in the shop. it also had a short in the lights.
    They sent me after a Haz Load,pu the load no sooner I left the tirminal
    disp from that terminal called me an said they needed me to bring back that load to the terminal, an bob tail to a customer and p/u another load an del that night. I asked that disp how many hrs do I have, they told me
    9hrs, which I knew from 12:30 I had 11hrs to run, its 5pm and there saying
    9hrs. this was a round trip. 250mi, when I get back I would beable to del
    my Haz load. Had problems at del, trailer emerg air line was busted couldnt
    move trailer, had to wait for repair.Despatch said he would get my Haz load del,after repair work was done put the loaded trl into dock, took off
    to del this other load to final out the round trip,stoped at trk stop to get my hrs back,contacted disp Isaid I was ready to roll after 10 hrs in sleeper
    birth, dispatch said I had still 1hr an 40 mins before I could roll again.
    Also when I del this , the Haz load still had to be del,the other disp never
    found a driver to del it. when I got close to the terminal near where I had to del, another disp called me and said before I del the Hazmat load they had another load for me to del at 6am. I told that dispatch that once I del this load That I was done. I would park there truck at the terminal inside the secured gates an my wife was comming after me. The Lying havent stoped.If they were so concerned about that 2010 inspections this truck that they gave me should of been right. Also in the past with company they
    had knowly put me in a truck that the fumes made me sick, The driver scotty who teachs the smith system (safety cource) and gives road test.
    He amitted to me that the same truck messed up his lungs, he got sick.
    Theres alot that happen to me with that company the 1st time over a year
    ago, and when I came back nothing has changed. Driver Beware.

    :biggrin_25523:viva la me hi co. now open for business south of the border, knight tspt and usexpress as they hire the great 10cpm non speaking non qualified amigo's who we do not blame, to drive the american truckers wages to 15cpm. Quit em before they quit on you gentlemen.

    Interesting as they are calling me on a weekly basis! I have been avoiding them since on our first call the recruiter stated that I needed 6 months experience. I said ok I have that then she said are you sure you have six months? If you have to ask me how sure I am then I wonder how sure you are in calling in the first place. Especially since they were trolling Kijiji and got my number from a posting my fiance and I placed about team driving.

    I'm getting a weekly recorded call from Kevin Knight himself.

    Why the F would anyone go back there? Constantly calling payroll to correct reimbursement issues, "if your not from our terminal, go to hell" mentality, the Katy terminal removing EZpass and them expecting you to run local in Chicago, the Fontana yard telling you to drop your empty or leave while you wait for a load.....

    Knight views drivers as being like disposable razors. Their real nice for awhile them you just toss em in the garbage and get a new one. Trucking as a profession would be a whole lot better if it wasn't for these cheap value junk haulers.

    Well dna mach, when exactly are u saying katy took away the ezpass?? When exactly did fontana tell you had to leave while waiting on load??

    Exact dates? Those don't matter. People need to skip Knight all together. How does Knight recruit? Advertising. Who doesn't realize that companies that advertise are a waste of time? Newer drivers who put up less resistance to being taken advantage of.

    Devote a few days and go advertise yourself to companies that aren't even hiring. How desperate does a company have to be for drivers when they already have 10,000 billboards rolling down the highway to spend big bucks on recruiting?

    First of all dna mach, u say dates don't matter, that's hogwash then your story is not believable. I for one run out of katy and ALL trucks there have ezpass/prepass. And as for fontana,they do not chase you out while you wait for load. Get your facts straight before flapping your fibbing gums.

    Ask Kevin Anderson or Debbie when they re-issued the EzPass, it was after I left. It was kind of a big deal as drivers quit over that. You drive to Chicago, shell out 80 bucks for tolls and then have to call payroll to get your money back. Okay how about around March of 2007. The Fontana debacle was in the summer of 2008.

    Don't take it so personally when people discuss Knight. I do not see anyone here standing up for them which means their more than likely a bottom feeder..and a bad one at that. Your fighting a losing battle.

    That's why I was asking for time frame because I wasn't seeing that since I've been here. There are things that go on before people arrive at companies and that was why I was asking what time. I do agree with you that with increase in toll rates in chicago its ridiculous for drivers to pay out of pocket.
