Do not work for knight transportation!!!

I wrote up my Knight truck for a severly worn steer tire on a PM. There were a few pin holes where cord was visible. Well I got the truck back and the steers weren't touched. Knight stood behind me and went a step further and removed the obviously overwhelmed shop manager from that position. They will run their drives down to the maximum allowable depth of 2/32 and beyond. A tire that worn will not be uniform and will contain many bald spots.

One of the many reasons I'll never work for a big company again, you can sit around and complain until the end if time but the fact that people will always pass problems on too the next guy will never end. I pull the same trailer for a week or two at a time and treat it like it's my own. Most of our drivers operate in this manner and the ones that don't are not anonymous.

Drop and hook never worked for me at Knight. There were never empties and if there were, there was no freight anyways. Not much ever seemed to work right at Knight.

 

Well, all i can say about knight, is they treat u like crap ur first month, after dat ur start getting good miles, i worked for them for about 1 1/2 years, it was kool, i got the miles.got home time. I left them cuz my wife had our baby.

 

I would never in a thousand years go with this company.

 

I salute you for being so honest about knight. Drivers do freeze in trucks at night. not paid what is due. asked to do favors and told will make it worth time aint seen it yet. called back before time off is over. Tell them about truck malfunction and they think you are a stupid monkey who cant peel a banana. If i treated people like they do i wont be able to sleep at night. The company may have grown but those running it need to grow up and learn how to treat people and build a good reputation not one as a company that shouldnt be allowed to operate.
