i got pizza hut to come out! hah
. yea i left later that night down to waco tx. about 3 miles south of our term the roads were good. 65 the whole way here. now im leavin in the morning to okc-tulsa-then laredo.
out 7 days then you can "highlight" to come home and they have like 5-7 days to get you home. i was actually shocked they relayed me at a cw frieght term to dh me home to get me there on time. -
The guy I talked to the other day also said Conway doesn't even want you to change a light bulb!
True or false?
Also read elsewhere that Conway's new trucks don't have APU's.
True or false? -
not sure about the whole light bulb thing. if one goes out im paying the few bucks for a new one and taking 5 min to put it in rather then sending in a request for a po and wasting an hour or more for a bulb.
and yes a lot of trucks do not have apus. if they dont they have an espar heater that gets verrry hot(when it works) -
well another update.
things have been slow recently. 1600 miles last week. and not looking any better this week. i have been dealing with idiots lately(night/weekend disp) they just issued me a pre plan from memphis,tn to laredo,tx with 7DAYS to get there!!!!!!!
so that means less than 1000 miles for this week. i told them to assign that to someone else that doesnt have bills or need money to live on. oh and im also due home this coming weekend. -
You could walk home from Laredo! Or go home under the load then do hometime?
-
Things looking any better yet Tex? -
I'll answer that question for Tex! NOOOOOOOO.........we drive team and miles have been way down for us too....since Conway Freight is returning to truckload maybe we will start to see an uptake on miles.
jakebrake12 Thanks this. -
yea things have been slow recently. i was actually due home 2 days ago and doesnt look like ill be getting home soon. sitting in laredo now.

I hope that's the case.. I think I speak for the majority of Freight drivers when I say we'd much rather see you guy's getting the good pulls out of here rather than another company - I now have access to service %'s and Truckload is very very good when compared to the 3'rd party carriers.
We'd prefer to haul the freight ourselves but if another carrier is used we hope it's TL.. If you are slow over there, one would think it only makes sense to haul the Freight loads but don't underestimate how low some of these carriers will drop rates for a few pulls - cheaper at times to use them than our own trucks, fuel, drivers, and trailers at Freight..
Really hope TL starts hauling the majority of our long box loads though - let's keep it in house right..ECU51 Thanks this.
