Billhilly, even though you put us behind the wife and kids, it's good to know you're enjoying being at home and think of us once in a while.

Sonny, I'm waiting to hear back on a temp to hire job, but if I get it, I'll be working down in Lenexa. Probably be nights for the first 6 months, but it gives me a possibility of getting to meet ya sometime for coffee. I'd be working for one of those other trucking companies, but I won't tell if you don't :biggrin_25525:

I missed the fuel stop in Troy Texas so I had to go to Midlothian Texas & got fuel. The truck stops full but that's where I am. Lebanon Missouri by 6:00pm tomorrow.

Toledo, WA 21 hrs ago, Rio Bravo, TX 4 hours ago....with 2200 miles in between.

I know that Vulvo is a step or two better than that mess you were dealing with before and the Swiss are capable of engineering some pretty incredible stuff, but I'm not convinced that truck averaged 130mph. I haven't found that wormhole between Portland and Dallas yet, either.

So I'm thinkin' it's roughly time to break in my new, heavy-duty, BS-O-Meter calibrated to the nano-turd, with the lifetime warranty on it. I get a feeling it's about to break, just like the old cheapo Sanyo did. Hope Texas Instruments honors that warranty....

Yep, it is the particle transmitter beam. They are using drivers first because we are expendable. Once the technology is deemed safe, then we can remove the driver entirely and have the PBT (Particle beam transmitterrer) take over remotely and we won't need drivers...or log books or the DOT etc....WAIT those are government-union jobs they can't be lost!:biggrin_25510:

You really want those gubberment turds bein' ex-gubberment turds on the open job market? Ran across one playing guard tonight... sheez! All I have is an empty trailer, and I had the unsettling feeling he wasn't impressed by checkin' the trailer but really wanted to do a body cavity search!
