the gear shift sits forward more because the engine sit's farther forward, pop the hood and you will see the hole engine not just half of it, you will love that ant-eater, i drove a t-600 back in the 90's for millis transfer and it was one solid truck and you can reach everything, o ya, those steps are great to, perfect height and size,

 

It's growing on me lol. I like to have the seat all the way up but that limits my view through the windshield so I took off the sun visor to gain back about an inch and a half of viewing area.

The accelerator is kinda high up, really stresses out the top of my ankle. Do you know if there is an adjustment to lower the pedal height? Otherwise I might be looking to secure a board down there to get my foot a little higher to make it more comfortable for me.

For the first few miles I couldn't figure out why the trailer was always on the zipper then I remembered the steer tires are outboard from where I sit. In the other trucks I drove, the driver basically sits over the front left steer tire in line, no so in this truck lol.

 

lower the air in your seat---will be a lot easier on your ankle and legs--that way you can put the visor back on as well
serioously with just a tiny bit of air--for me the seat rides better--to each his own i guess
but i like being able to the pedals
