    Too many to count--
    Worse--Steer in Texas--back road 3am
Most memorable--about 12-15 duckling following Mom--across I-35 just outside Albert Lea Mn--around sunrise--came around curve # about 68 mph--mama was 1/2way across hammer lane--clucks stretched out all the way to shoulder--broke my #### Heart--

i have hit hordes of smaller animals--but i got a deer on the rebound
i was following another truck (probabely too close) and saw a yellowish cloud rising in front of the front truck--couple seconds later a deer comes boucing out from under his trailer and i had now where to go--on the two lane road--so it goes under my truck--but actually no real damage to either truck---he had a small bend in the bumper and i had a bent up license plate hanger--not sure what happened to the deer cause there were about 4 trucks right behind me as well

Mostly small animals...biggest was a raccoon one night on 220 south of Roanoke.

Back in January, I hit four birds in the span of an hour on one stretch of road in OK (I think it was). Normally don't concern myself with it too much, though I hate to hit any living creature, but (graphic detail to follow for the squeamish)...

I caught one of the birds with my mirror support on the driver's door. Split the poor thing in two, leaving just his head stuck to the upper-most part of the support, just above the mirror. Stayed there for a couple of miles before, uh, heading off.....

    In my truck.....
    0
Nebraska City - Momma Duck and 4 or 5 ducklings crossing a busy intersection - light was red, put the flashers on, got out, grabbed as many ducklings as I could while scooting Mama and the others gently with my foot across to a grassy area.

Local cop on the other side turns his disco lights on and moves in to stop traffic while I get them safely to the other side and back to my truck. Seems like no one was in a hurry just then - got honks and waves and the cop bleeped his siren as I left!

Other than that, I have hit a variety of creatures and critters, but the most heartbreaking was those two silver wolf pups on US 93 heading up to Wenatchee, WA one winter; they were playing on the side of the road, puppy play, I came around that curve and they JUST HAD to dart out towards the truck - one got off scot-free when he ran under the trailer, the other one wound up under my trailer tandems. #### shame....

one day, i had a car come up behind me,when she got about even with my tandems a muskrat ran out on my right--i could nt really move much but i went to the right a bit to give the guy a chance---then i looked out the mirror to see if i missed him----well he made to the outer edge of the trailer tandems then the tire caught him and popped him like a zit---about 5 ft of insides went shooting out just in front of the cars window--and the driver locked up the brakes and got in behind me for about 10 miles till she finally went by ---i can imagine she was probabely puking into a bag or something

Took a Morning Dove to the upper right corner of my windshield (spring of 2001).
Had a pair of Black birds fly under the front of my truck on 394 in Wayzata, MN one afternoon in 2003.
Had a deer come broad side to the grill (thank GOD for grill guards) on my way home from work several years ago, put her in the bed and got a possession permit for her the next day. Also, rolled a deer down the drivers side of my Grand Am at midnight in Grantsburg, WI 4 years ago. That one scared the goobers out of me. I thought she was gonna end up in my lap when her head hit the windshield. She just brushed it off and disappeared. Didn't even find the mirror from tha accident the next weekend when I went through there again.
