Uh...yeah, Bluebonn...at over 14,000 feet high, Mt. Rainier is an active, if sleeping, volcano. As are many of the mountains in the Cascade Range. They are part of the Circle of Fire that rings the Pacific Ocean.

Leaving Lexington, NE in a short bit.

With all the recent earthquakes in Chile, Japan, experts are predicting, west coast United States to be hit by the big one pretty soon.

When I was a kid I saw Mt St Helens blow up (not the first one, but a few months later when she was spewing).

Stuck in Lathrop CA, no freight out, got SIMs class out of the way though....

Lovely Beckley, WV. I remember St. Helens. I was stationed in Seattle, just getting transeffered. I was to leave about 5 days after it blew. Driving cross country, replaced about 3 air filters on my car by the time that I was through Washington and Idaho from all of the ash.

    scottied67 and Hamshoe Thank this.
