Try Millis Transfer, Black River Falls, WI. Good company.

I talked to them yesterday, they said they would hire me, first I would go out with a trainer and then I would get 39 cents a mile..... but first I need to do a refreshment course at my truck driving school.

Today I'm gona stop by my school and find out how much they charge but I think it will be over 1K.....

That's pretty good at .39 cents a mile, i called them last week just to see if i would qualify because of being out of work for 9 months because of a rotator cuff surgery, and my last job was 11 and a half yrs. doing local regional but was home every night, they said maybe .36 cents a mile. don't know about that one. anyway i am going to stop posting this on a crete thread, good luck to ya.

Still do, I heard years ago that they were going to install a card lock so we could get in any time with our fuel cards...but I guess they forgot. They say that the reason they lock it is because the JB Hunt drivers would walk across the street from their terminal to use our showers...but that's just what I heard, don't know for sure.

Since the start of spring, I have hit some of the worst roads of the season. Last Sunday, coming across Wyoming, between Laramie and Wamsutter, things were a skating rink. Several trucks did complete 180's and were facing the wrong direction...Then I was in ET's freight void, I delivered just south of Portland, then they ran me all the way up to west of Pennington to pick up a load of potato chips...going to Fontana, CA. This is an altitude sensitive load, so they ran me back to Idaho to run US95 down through to Winnemucca, NV then west across I80 to US95 south again to California, then to US395 south to I15...I 80 east of Baker City was slick as I've seen in a while...so slick that a Flying J double tanker jack knifed his truck into a reverse question mark trying to avoid 2 4-wheelers that went into the median and back across to the right shoulder. Then when I got to the ID/OR border on US95, Oregon must have forgot how to clean roads(like they ever knew how to in the first place), because it was an ice skating rink too. After all this, while I was waiting for the temps to rise a little in a chain-up area, I glanced at the route they had for this 'altitude sensitive' load...only to find a mountain pass at the NV/CA line that is 1100 feet above what the shipper restricts us to...but Op's said run it...so I guess Walmart is going to have some popped bags of chips...I did my part by warning them...I'll be darned if I'm going to do any more about it...especially after what happened between me, the SLC shop, and Lincoln earlier this week...after all if I think too much, that'll give them another reason to find fault with something I did. Unfortunately I can't get my terminal manager to tell me what the minimum amount of miles Crete requires so I can slack off some...The less I'm out here, the less chance they'll find something else to blame me for, or say I did but didn't really do but be presumed guilty until proven innocent. I've thrown up my hands and given up trying to please these people. Once I get home, I'm going to remove all the extra stuff I have in my truck...like the glad hand air hose, lights and plugs for these worthless trailers, sand/salt mix...pretty much every thing I don't need for staying out more than the absolute minimum amount of time they require...if that cuts me back to 9000 miles a month, so be it...but if I'm not running, they're not BMW'g at me about something. After 2009's miles, I found out what I can live on...and if that's all I run from now on...I guess they'll have to live with it too!

Sorry to be so negative again, y'all...but I'm still steamed about how they handled things earlier this week...and need to blow off some of it here and there.
