Good night from...

This has happened to me many times. In the past I always just made it happen and ate the log violation. Today I called the FM to find out what the proper procedure is. They said, 'shouldn't have gotten yourself into that situation'. Gee that's helpful lol. I guess the solution for me is to turn down all loads that are not slam dunk pick ups and deliveries with at least 5 hours available on arrivals.

Black Mountain NC, out of hours, kicked out and off the property of the delivery place, but I ain't moving til the morning-- got a load to pick up about 23 miles away yay.

 

7 states away would be safer!!!

 

I'm inside eating right now. When I'm finished, I'm going back out, switch Luse's air lines then empty my truck for Spring cleaning.

It rained last night. And I have cardboard if it gets to that.

 

I feel yer pain driver. The load I'm on right now is gonna get me another "mandatory" log class or a face to face. This load was a back up to a shortie and, when I accepted both the shortie and the backup, I had a good plan for getting everything done just right HOS-wise. Well, stuff happens along the way from Point A to Point B to Point C, right? Bottom line: This load will be delivered on time...end of story!
