My old Granpoppa used the Two Hats method for getting over the cold or flu:

When you start feeling "icky" keep yourself fully dressed. Put on your shoes, coat and hat. Leave the house to your local package store and buy a fifth of your favorite strong spirit. Return to the house. Hang up your coat, put your shoes away and go to your room. Leave your hat on. Get into your pajamas and, lastly, hang your hat on the bed post. Get into bed and sip your favorite spirit until you see Two Hats.

My Granpoppa was a very smart man.

We have been hopelessly stuck in Casa Grande...waiting.....waiting....waiting......all because we told the load planner TWO AND A HALF MONTHS ago, we needed to be home in No. Cal BY the 12th, for a 13th appointment to get our taxes done.....we had to ask accountant to file for an extension because of the incompetence of someone who others call mikeytheloadplanner
Well, they didn't get us home, we've been waiting for a load going ANYWHERE, for two days, and I am just a LEEEEETLE bit pizzed.

Thanks for tolerating my rant....and we ARE still....stilll.still... HERE! LOL

    Thanks folks!

You have a reefer in casa grande--and they can't get you to N Cal? or is it a rate thing?
Still cutting spinach in Casa grande and Queens creek? I only know of people loading east--but they usually ship excess to salinas and oxnard--this time of year since they are getting ready to move up to Colorado for the summer...

'olhand, though we "own" our truck, we don't have our own authority, and so are dependent upon the fickle, and often vindictive, load planners/dispatchers at our company....:biggrin_2557:

To be a little clearer, the company hubby runs for CONSTANTLY tell us that "we have no loads going into/coming out of ANYWHERE in California"....yet, we KNOW solo's AND teams, at same company who CONSISTENTLY go to/get loads out of California....I'm just a bit peeved at the lies, ya know?

Anyway, HOPEFULLY, tomorrow, we will get out of Casa Grande.
