    ..don't you mean fancy?
I mean it is a fancy gap after all. If it was a purdy gap it would be called Purdy Gap.

Nope DOT don't check for that one yet. They are currently getting extremely educated on our air brake systems. Seems they know more than the folks that maintain same. ABS not working means you have to know how to brake your rig without computer assistance. Hope you do!:biggrin_2552:

The devil, they don't. Oregon DOT will tell you how your ABS doesn't work and write you a ticket for that little light on the trailer malfunctioning. Just ask Bluebonn. (There was absolutely nothing wrong with the light. His idle control kicked in, shut the motor off and the lights didn't work right until he restarted the motor. But the officer refused to let him start the motor and show they work.)

I had a brake inspection in 2007 wherein Oregon DOT checked my dash light, low pressure alert and tractor protection valve. I passed. They do check it.

So there is another O state that are becoming "experts" on truck braking systems. Very scarey for drivers. Maintenance has enough trouble with day to day stuff. Just think of all the different tractor/trailer mods and manufacturers...........Life just keeps getting more fun every day:biggrin_2555:
