Actually, PTA can be no more than 12 hours,
be it eta/pta or macro 10.
    More requires DM/dispatch.

OK! They changed that one since I was there.

So a driver can't just use the PTA macro to set up his/her 34 hour restart or to show home time days off....interesting, again putting more "responsibility" on the DM...but I am sure that some drivers abused the earlier version plus it puts a bit more pressure on the DM to stay "in touch" with their drivers/fleet!

    Otherwise...4 out of 5 ain't to bad considering I haven't been a Swiftie in 3 years!

Yep, PTA can mess you up. Lets say that you have ETA for 1700, but appt not until 1800, and you will be MT around 2000, and you know that you have to take a 10 after you unload, so set your PTA for 10 hours after unload, and it will get kicked back on you. Too many hours after your ETA. So off goes a msg to the DM, explain, and let them set it. Even though the computer will show your PTA, it still kicks it back

So another question, at http://swift.drivers-central.com/swift-transportation/locations.cfm I see that Swift has 3 comfort zones for its drivers but on the official web site it only lists the eastern two comfort zones, those being 910 and 909 does Swift still have the 907 comfort zone for the western U.S.? I have to say I sure hope so. I have driven in those little eastern states and I cant say I like it much. Does any one here run the 907 comfort zone? How is it? Are the miles there?

907 does still exist, but I believe it is full.

The most DM complaints I hear are from the Denver drivers. Not getting home on time etc. Coersion on other matters.

When I'm not under a load, I've taken to not sending in Mac 10's anymore because of the kick back. I just send it in with the days missing when I get dispatched.Yesterday at my MT call I put ETA exactly 10 hours out from that time of MT call. But it was actually 45 minutes later that I shut down due to hold up at the gate to get out of the consignee, to traveling to the truck stop etc. Boy wouldn't you know they planned me to the gnat'sass on the time and I spent most of the morning racing to get that 45 minutes back. I was an hour early on my first stop but and ended the day at 13.25 on the 14 lol.
