My poor girl is trying to recover from a PM. "Whazzat?" you say...

Yesh....did a PM and now it won't start. Started just fine before coming in, started and ran for a few seconds when trying to check oil pressures, but she quit and that was two hours ago! :biggrin_25510:

These guys are trying to say it's the relay, despite the fact it measures 80ohms. All other electrical stuff is working, but lift pump not turning. My theory: No fuel inside the pump, the pump won't run. Need to prime the lift pump. These guys don't know how and since I have a basic understanding, but no in-depth knowledge, neither do I.

Ideas are welcome. It's a 2011 Prostar with Cummins ISX.

I was 2nd in line yesterday. Well that was after I found out they forgot about me between Friday and Saturday. So Saturday when I got on their list I was 2nd in line. When I came back this morning I found out I was next in line. When I checked back in 2 hours later they told me it won't be until tomorrow. But I'm first on the list tomorrow morning!

This is going to be a small pay check. 2 34hr restarts in one week. Lovely.

The "lift pump" as you call it (transfer pump actually) should not need priming...they are self priming pumps, air in the system will just be pushed out...when that happened to mine...the transfer pump had to be replaced.

Sorry Injun...sounds like you might have some time for that popcorn you popped up.:biggrin_2552:
