Caught some nasty rain for about 5 miles around MM 55 on the 90. Stopped for a break at the Pilot at MM 43 and heard that there had been a touch down about 15 miles away.

The sky was black and nasty to the NE of me as I got back on the freeway and the wind was getting pretty heavy. Called my son for a check on the weather against my position and direction to verify I was moving away from it ... obviously I was good to go as I made it :biggrin_25525:

At the Sapps in Columbus, NE for the night ... going to see if I can make my drop a day early in Cheyenne tomorrow.

Hit a little gully-washer just east of the North-40. I was kind of happy about it after going through the cicada-storm from Shelbyville through Nashville. I have never seen (or heard) so many cicadas in my life.

Every 13 years these bugs hatch and do their thing then lay their eggs and 13 years later they take over the world again.

Some rest area in Michigan I69 not far from Michael Moore's hometown.

Was walking Abby near the tall grass and when we got back to the truck I noticed a tick on the back of my hand so I brushed her down and found 2 on the brush and will be keeping a close eye on her to make sure there are not more. Also gonna put some of the flea and tick juice on the back of her neck.

I would suggest Advantage because it will protect her from mosquitos, chiggers and every other type of bug. Including ear mites. Also, since you run all 48, get her on a heartworm preventative of some kind. You can get it at your vet. Check with your vet to be sure her immunizations are all up-to-date. Rabies is only needed once in three years. Additionally, it would not be a bad idea to get and carry a health certificate for her. It's unlikely any state will ever ask for one, but it does not hurt to have it on hand.

I'm in Hawkins, TX for the night. In the middle of Wood County. Along the tornado watch corridor...and possible huge hail. (Baseball size?) Hoping the storms bypass me and the winds stay off the ground.
