Slowly making my way out of here.

 

Still on Blanding.. did drivers training today.. which was good, got to drive the LHS and fuel tanker (only had 200gal in it). After about two laps around the course my TC told me i handle it like a pro.. i jus laugh and then he asked if if i wanted to try it with the trailer (5h1t YA!!!) hooked up the trailer to it which attaches with a pintel and went at it again.. the trailer is pretty much idiot proof.. as long as the truck makes the turn the trailer is going to follow.. it only off tracked by at the most 3'. Once i turned and was expecting to lay it over in the ditch, but nope, it was right there behind me bouncing along the dirt road.

Gotta give props to my pal Don Oneal who called me at 3am this morning informing me that he had won The Dream race at Eldora Speedway. I told him that was old news that I knew about it right after he had won it. I also told him he could now pay me the bet we made 8 years ago.

The Dream he won pays $100,000.00

 

I love the racing at Eldora. It's about an hour from the house and we used to go up there for races all the time and every yr especially for the dream. Tony Stewart has really done a lot for the place since he bought it too. Course he ought to since he cut his teeth racing there. Congratulations to your buddy too.

 

Home sweet home! We got a Fridge for my truck today. MAYBE no more ice buying every other day...

 

Sitting at the TA at exit 407 on I 5 in CA. We'll pull out later tonight and head in to Riverside for the unload and then hole back up at a truckstop until I roll 9 hours and thus be able to get us home.
