Perry OK. Live unload earlier, opened the doors, product was crashed all over the floor because the load locks failed. Drivers are required to wait in a little room. Supervisor comes in and asks if I am ready to clean up 'my' mess. I just said, "not really", then we asked each other whose responsibility it was to clean it up. He went away and I thought everything was hunky dory, took Abby for a walk etc. Get a call from DM asking why I cussed this guy out and refused to unload the trailer (Drvr Unld [N]). Then OSD is calling telling me to tcall it in OK City so another driver can bring it back and unload it. Meanwhile I look in and they are unloading me. Guy brings paperwork all signed etc but my empty call will not go through and my next load is in limbo. DM says I have been banned from this receiver now.

PS, just remembered when talking with the guy who signed my paperwork, he said the supervisor was mad that his guys had to do extra work which he said happens quite often with product crashed on the floors of trailers. I took that to mean he usually buffaloes the drivers into helping out so his guys don't have to shoulder *all* that extra work. I was one who just wouldn't be fooled into doing a job for free that is not mine to do. I never actually refused, I would have helped, it just sounded like he wanted me to do it by myself, besides I was busy trip planning my next load.

 

Rest Area north of Pueblo. The wind against me today until got norht of Amarillo. Still only 6.1 mpg up and down the hills. Tomorrow is really going to be crap, north on 25 then west on 70.

 

We might be crossing paths. I'm going east on 70 tomorrow.

I'm on 70 in Utah now. Stopped for lunch in Primm, NV earlier and after watching Anthony Weiner make a weiner out of himself, dropped $20 into a quarter machine. And hit it for $1,000. No, I didn't stay any longer. Took the money and ran.

 

Good for you!!! I sure need that to happen to me. In Odessa Texas in motel for 34. Did not want to hear them yelling at me for idling the truck when it's a 110 outside so decided my son and I would just hang out in a nice cool room.

 

In Van Horn Tx tonight after a quick run to El Paso to drop shuttle load there instead of here. On my way back to Colorado City in the morning to do a 34. I'll wave at you Bluebonn as I bobtail by!

haha yea I'm heading to my favorite spot tomorrow Lancaster. In Van Horn Huh? Man I am sick of that area lately. Been down that way a bunch the past few months.
