I guess since I am assigned to the shuttle for a while I am not getting all q/c messages. The first I heard about a POD was on this forum. What's a POD?

a pod is a group of dm's assigned to a bunch of drivers. so, instead of having one dm, you have six. that way, no one can keep track of your messages or help you out. then they can pass the blame to each other while you sit in el paso three days late for hometime wondering what the hell is going on. i think it's a fantastic program.

I believe this is it. I know on the account I'm on, I have to write POD/trip number on all bills for delivered loads before I scan them in.

Wow, you pegged that to the T.. One corection, its three dm's and for me personally, I have MUCH better results with my pod dm(s)..

Were you in No Paso this week waiting on a load, too? I got stuck there for 2.5 days waiting untill I sent a msg to my pod people and said im leaving via other transportation..

My DM works in a pod as well, but I've only dealt with one other guy when he is not available.

So far I don't see any problems. I get one or the other if I phone, and if I send a QC message it is usually answered promptly by one of them.

That is, when they are there. They all go home around 4:30, and are off weekends. So then I call Fontana and get whomever.
Even so, I have yet to have a problem with anyone I have dealt with.
