Abby caught a gopher. These little guys have been harrassing her with their little warning chirps and popups from their dens across 14 states and today she caught one and made it pay the ultimate price.I had to pull the little guy from her jaws of death before she almost swallowed him whole; the last thing I need is her having an upset tummy tomorrow while I'm trying to hustle on a time sensitive load lol.

yes it is, had a two stop unload in San Antonio and Houston today and I was pouring in sweat. Just had to roll a few straps was all too.

 

Hmm wonder if I saw you AZS. Saw quite a few skateboard on the way into Houston. Anyway, did the drop in Houston and picked up a load to Grand Prairie. Deliver that tomorrow and make the planners back up the 44 total miles run they want me to do. Rejected it today but they didn't pull it off me yet. I will not do that kind of super short run in Dallas in morning traffic without a decent run behind it. I thought that's what day cabs were for. Night from the pee lot in Huntsville Tx.

 

It was probably around 11 or 12 local time, I only had half the trailer loaded with pipes at that point and was fighting a severe case of the tireds, couldn't fall asleep last night for nothing. Anyway, I've heard a lot of van drivers complain about the planners there basically making you a shuttle for the Dallas area, guy last week said he had 6 loads and total was around 200 miles.

the load i got to socal was just luck. i am taking advantage of the fact that i can bebop home for a day just because i can. however, i did not want to drag a trailer with me and have to find a place to put it for a day. since there are plenty of empties at otay anyway, and fuel is expensive, i opted to drop the one i had before driving the 90 miles home.
