Went to IA to pick up this load. Arrived on time. Load wasn't ready yet. I let dispatch know. She said "Okay, well let me know of any other problems you have." Trailer gets loaded, I pull out to close the doors. I notice there's a mudflap missing on the trailer. ('twas a drop y hook so it didn't happen on my watch). Send in the macro (which my DM gets a copy of) about the mudflap and advise that I'll head up to Albert Lea MN to get a new mudflap. Once that is completed I sent dispatch the following message:

"Repairs completed. Could you please stop jinxing this trip please? ;)"

Wichita, KS.. was an interesting ride, didn't wanna pay the toll on I35 so i took US50 to I125 and missed hitting a (supposed calf) by about 15sec's. A BMW passed me and kept rolling down the road.. started to vanish around a curve and then i saw brake lights and then flashers.. figured they blew a tire. a few seconds later i get up to them and notice plastic and what no all in the road, and then i see a guy holding a girl (who appears to be crying) so then i think, wow, they just hit something. i got to pull over and run back to the car (from 60mph it took about a quarter mile) everyone was alright, guy said he think it was a calf, but we (alot more people stopped) couldn't find anything, it didn't manage to #### on their hood before vanishing into the great unknown.. now i'm sitting next door to my receiver on a side access road.. there's two other trucks parked on the street out in front, i didn't want to be number three.. as always, i have to be an individual.. nite nite.
