Got a load of taters that they shoot into the trailer with a conveyor-- you'll back up to the conveyor, it will be sticking deep into your trailer then they start shooting them in there and you'll pull up 7 times as they make little piles. Go around to the scale to see how much more they can put on you lol luckily I had 7/8ths fuel otherwise would have been limping along 80,000 pounds with 1/4 tank trying to go 500 miles. Hope they don't shake my truck too bad manana.

Was pulling the Grapevine midafternoon 97 degrees about 15 miles per hour, yanked it over for an 8 hour break in an effort to run during cooler nighttime hours. Got another load offer picks up tomorrow and delivers next day 750 miles-- I didn't think that was possible so turned it down-- factors in my decision:
    Heat
Max Speed Required= lower paycheck for me
and the biggest factor- Split Break says I will be in sleeper during delivery time so that would be a big violation.

Lancaster, back in my truck after 2 days of daycabs and those funny 10 speed trannys. Got used to getting it all the way over to the left for 6th gear, almost went there in my truck today but caught myself in time!

If you see that guy on his bike wanting to polish rims tell him the swift flatbed guy wants a raincheck. He'll know.

I ran 10-speeds for 2 1/2 years between Swift and Swift. When I first got this truck, I accidentally put in into "sixth" a few times. It didn't do anything except act like fifth.

    Rattlebunny and inkeper Thank this.
