Yep ... Wait til she's been out a few weeks. Just had her cleaned up at the Blue Beacon at Flag City ... personally I think they do about the best job of any place I've had my truck cleaned at. But then again she got a pretty good cleaning in a t-storm going through Deming today.

At the National in Vado, NM ... dropping in El Paso tomorrow with the tunes of Marty Robbins dancing in my head. Then grab a load going to Roanoke, TX.

Brighton, Colorado I have no real evidence but it isn't just a coincidence that my one year anniversary is this month and they asked me about leasing about a month ago (no pressure...lol) and my miles have decreased over the last few weeks...hmmm. It makes sense that they want to move peeps to go lease....at least it makes sense to them!

Hammy, there is no big conspiracy. You yourself ramped it back a few weeks ago of your own accord. Mid-July is a slower freight time, even though it's not as slow as January/February. If you want to run like you were, talk to your DM about where the busy terminals are and work your way there.

Yes, always thought potatoes grew on a bush like tomatoes-- they are related to peanuts which grow on a bush too.

Part of my problem was slow freight but time off as well. Put a hometime request in for Aug 1st, which seems to be hampering things because loads seem to be restricted to West Coast.

Oh yeah spent night in Goodyear AZ, picked up a t-called loaded trailer in Phx terminal, going to the CPT CA.

At a Petro in Virginia off I-81

I've noticed things have slowed down a bit to.
I haven't had a load over 600 miles in almost 2 weeks and I'm not tapping on my 70 like I usually do... I wanna run hard but the loads I'm getting suck and won't allow me to run hard enough.
Do a mac 30 and get 1 crap load on it....
Don't accept it and wait on a pplan, get sent an even crappier load...
With the way things are going I'm kinda skured to turn down anything(that I can do legally)
I also haven't been west of the mighty Mississippi very much either.
    What gives?

I assume that if it's like this for us O/Os that the company drivers are getting it pretty bad to. I doubt this is SWIFT's way of trying to push anyone into a lease....
Doesn't look like we're getting any more miles than the company drivers.

Don't expect much more than this for awhile if you are just starting out. You will see these numbers for the first six months most likely. Shooter it is happening to company drivers as well. The loads have been crap for the past few weeks.

If I recall, you had your butt run off those first few months.

It's just slow right now. Beginning of the quarter and everybody is spending their money going on vacation. End of July should pick up a little when Back-to-School season starts.

I really wish your next endeavor is as successful as you expect. It appears you're headed for Shaffer/Crete. I'm not convinced their program is that much different than Swift. Please keep us posted.
