On a load from L.A. to Colorado Springs-- I15N - I70E - I25S. Seems like uphill all the way. Kicking myself for not going out I40E - I25N, maybe longer distance, but faster and better MPG's.

Regarding weight on steers. I think Hammy made a typo. 13K will definitely raise eyebrows. Your steer tires are rated for 12,350#. You might stretch it to 12,500, but I wouldn't push it above that.

Last night we stayed at a casino/truck stop south of Cortez CO. After 3 weeks spent in a hot truck I actually had to roll out and get under my sleeping bag. It was cool I'll take cool over hot any day. Thank god the mosquitoes like my trainer more than they like me...
