On a load from L.A. to Colorado Springs-- I15N - I70E - I25S. Seems like uphill all the way. Kicking myself for not going out I40E - I25N, maybe longer distance, but faster and better MPG's.

Glenwood Springs CO tonight, little 3 horse truck stop in the book, quick walk under the freeway to the raging Colorado River, beautiful in its fury.

Regarding weight on steers. I think Hammy made a typo. 13K will definitely raise eyebrows. Your steer tires are rated for 12,350#. You might stretch it to 12,500, but I wouldn't push it above that.

Running outside wagons in Upper BFE still. Loiking this stuff. Especially after seeing this week's settlement. One little error that the correction has already been submitted for... to the tune of 150 miles and one stop in my favor. An add-on stop was not routed onto the trip. It will be on next week's settlement. Nevertheless, $1,588 in my pocket for 2,800 miles. Man, I want to hang onto this gig.

Yes, arrived Newton last night, and it was about 99, and that was at 9 o'clock. They have me set up with a home time request for PHX on the 25th. It is getting me better now. They had to get me out of the east. Told me that frt is real slow in OH and IN and IL right now, and if get a load to the east, good chance of staying there for some time.

Outside wagons being trailers not owned by Swift. I've been running with one of our contract partners.

Last night we stayed at a casino/truck stop south of Cortez CO. After 3 weeks spent in a hot truck I actually had to roll out and get under my sleeping bag. It was cool I'll take cool over hot any day. Thank god the mosquitoes like my trainer more than they like me...:biggrin_25517:
