I get load assignments like that all the time. I tell them, if it can't happen, they will have to deal with it, and they always say, get it there when you can.
Oh...Update, I am here at the Cons. today, and miraculously they will be able to get me in...Imagine that, may be a few hours but I told her, way better than Monday. Why couldn't my FM or the LC do this??? Again my FM not there, so I have no one to yell at, except for when my FM comes back I can complain, even if it does no good, I can vent in his ear...lol![]()

Pad your log? I would say it is being efficient and effective with your time. I'm not late, not today or anyday.
I don't run outside the rules, but I think lawrence would agree, keep it legal on paper! -
No, by padding I mean driving 12 or 13 hours a day and only logging 9 or 10. I know several drivers that do this. I also know of a FM that will tell a driver to do it so a delivery can be made. (happened to me when I was on a trainer truck last year.) You can call this practice anything you want, but come the day USA Truck starts electronic logs it will stop! I honestly suggest to all drivers, start running legal, log it as you drive it.

I'm always legal. I have been inspected 3 times by DOT in the past 6 months, not one violation. Good time management, that's all. -
If you are running a legal logbook and logging as you drive it and getting good miles I commend you, because you are in a small minority. -
I love being the minority, always out spoken, yet the minority.
and I must again beg your pardon a I disagree with you
IT'S ABOUT THE MONEY, ITS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY! -
Well I just got a load assignment, from Columbus OH where I am, to Vandalia, to grab a trailer, and then to Savannah GA to finish up the week. 4175miles for the week, plus a day of breakdown. Yes it was all ran legal. I got a 2 day jump picking up a Laredo run on Sun. and delivering on Tue.
The load assignment I just got though, the first part says to go to the consinee of the last load. I ask why it was there, and she said it was the new system and it was supposed to be that way...IDK, but I haven't had that on my other loads -
