Scottie ... did you try to negotiate on that 700. Ask if you can drop early or can you tcall it along the way. I always negotiate before I turn a load down. I've been offered loads as short as 70 miles, asked for a back up and 4 times out of 5 I get something sweet.

Buffalo, NY. Crashed my 14, spending the night at the shipper. Roanoke, VA tomorrow and second, drop first thing Wednesday morning.

good night from Loredo Terminal. My trainers A/C has not been blowing very cold of late so I offered to put some more refrigerant in. After putting the stuff in the High pressure hose on the compressor blows and we now had no A/C at all. I think I'm now my Trainers favorite Student... No good deed goes un punished

Hey junkero-next time if you can and you have a temp gauge to put in the vent check your temp first and then start puttn in the freon in a little at a time until it gets real cold like 40degs.and then stop because that will cause the high side temp/pressure to go up if you put to much in-good luck and hope you guys get cool soon.

Looks like Fontana for the evening. Sent me a pplan this morning for 41,000 water to Cheyenne, and by the time that I was going to accept, cancelled, then a offerring to pu and del to Tuscon for tommorrow morning, accept, and within 30 mins, cancelled, then a pplan to SLC, by the time find a place to pull over and accept, expired, and finally a pplan, K-mart to Sparks, for late morning, then del rescheduled for late afternoon. Ohhh well. Now just wait until 0400 to pu.

No I didn't call before turning it down because I interpreted it as one of those token loads they send to avoid layover pay because it picked up about 8 miles away from Denver terminal (I thought about t-calling but 60 miles empty and 8 miles loaded seemed like a waste of time and energy) so I opted to sit for another few hours and score a 34 and assumed something would come along. Unfortunately the only offer was a load picking up 27 hours after my 34 was done. I turned it down like I had written, they re-offered it the next day with 4 more hours added to the pick up. I can't believe that was the ONLY load out of Denver unless they are trying to keep me on the west coast or something due to hometime request for August 1st I put in a couple weeks ago.

Anyway, doesn't matter now, got that load with over 60 hours of sitting, started out on the road, bought 100 gallons of fuel and truck won't go faster than 35 on the freeway. Tcalled in Denver, now sitting on 1100 miles for the week, shop status for potentially days, and massive fuel bill, no surcharge to help. 107 degrees, want to get a hotel but everything around here is booked up, may have to catch a taxi to the next town over for one. Positive thoughts!

That sucks scottie. Mine sucked a bit, did pretrip this morning before heading out to my pickup location and noticed the lights not working on trailer. So Im at Lancaster terminal and sitting in limbo, no rescheduled load, no voided load, nothing.

Big D rest area with fuel island, truck wash, repair and a store that makes the Jake Break look like Wal Mart. 10 bones to pay for the privilege or walking almost a quarter mile to the one toilet on site. What a craphole. Deliver tomorrow then grab a water load and go to north Dallas. Doing the 1 required short load and then hopefully homeward. Get rid of the day cabs but keep the routes. Makes sense.

You're at the Laredo terminal ... why not just take over to the shop and get it fixed?

Scottie ... hope you catch a break soon.

In Dublin, VA. Make the final drop on this trip in SC tomorrow. Then pick up a nice light load to Pueblo.

Sometimes I really wonder about the load offferings. Today was also sent one, dh to SLC and bring back ldd trlr to Fontana. If I was in a company trk, would have jumped on that one. Still sitting here in Fontana waiting for them to dispatch me. Been waiting now since 10 this morning, after told them what mt I have.

Well the shuttle gravy train pulled into the Lancaster station and derailed. I am now officially back to my regional fleet until needed on shuttle again.
