New Ulmenese ??

 

They do speak a different kind of German there..(so people FROM Germany) visiting say,kind of a mix of "upper" and "lower" German,mixed in with a little English..Our version of "Spanglish"

Sadly,it will die with my dad's generation..and it's goin fast.

 

I used to love to listen to my dad's old Da Yoopers cassettes, just for the accent. I always wondered if they were deliberately hamming it up for the recording, though.

 

Well they are from the UP so I'm guessing no. I mean have you heard people from the UP talk? That's pretty much spot on!

Oh yeah hi I'm in Ohio. I crossed over from Canada this morning over the rainbow bridge. Sadly I saw no rainbows or anything ranibow-esque..much to my surprise considering all the weddings they had at Niagara Falls recently...

 

Sigh. Minutes to days!

Tractor is still in Freightliner jail... for a wheel seal that was done yesterday. Some of these guys are great... this dealer is from hell.
