Stockton CA. No empties on the Lathrop yard, no help from the office, luckily a driver came in and dropped on A row (empty row), so I hooked to it and got my trip plan sent. Pretrip the trailer and one of the tandem sliding pins was not engaging (spring busted) so saw another driver dropping on A row with a 11 series and hooked up to that one now (red tagged the other one since the discourteous driver who dropped it just left it for the next victim).

Go to shipper, sit for 2 hours after appointment time then get loaded and I know it is too heavy on my gauges. Scale and come back, they rework it now it's 34100 on the drives, will run with it and limp on 2/8ths fuel for the 700 mile trip yay (Not).

 

Madison,WI pick up in the morning then off to Atlanta.

 

In Columbus for Mentor class been here since Monday and will not leave until Friday afternoon then off to Greer for new truck,

Then the adventure begins..................

Lol gotta love beantown. What was really fun was driving from Warren to Houston through Beaumont after Rita hit can usually make it in 2 1/2 3hours took over 40. That was tons of fun. I went to MCRD San Diego I think I'm the only person to hate Cali. The water was always cold and when the "marine layer" moves in everything gets soaked during field training. But I honestly walked through the end(or beginning) of a rainbow during a hike. So It was not all hate.

 

Area got alot worse after Katrina. Not sure if you know where Warren is. Beaumont, lumberton, silsbee, kountze, then Warren(not sure if you deliver to Woodville, there are Dollar Generals there). Little place in Warren called the BBQ Pit right after you go over the over pass. Best double meat double cheese burger with bacon and Cajun fries! I make the 45min trip from Beaumont everytime I'm down there. Also careful one state trooper always at the bottom of the overpass at night. In highschool a friends truck broke down at the crest trucker came over didn't have time to react, killed one. Since then that trooper is always there.

 

Yea finally giving up the truck for a Volvo 780 2012. Whoever gets this truck will be happy because I just got the rims all buffed out and they shine. Truck is clean inside and out and I even tried to put it in shop to get little things fixed for the next driver but shop said three days.

I said no way see ya! Got to go to Greer to pick up truck... #### I wish I could get a coca cola load. maybe I can get some free Coke! Been a Coke addict for years....
