... nah ... there's a clique of drivers that always seem to be there. Doesn't matter what day of the week. SLC and even Lathrop is the same way.

At the Iowa 80, on my way to North Platte, drop window opens at midnight tomorrow, going to see if I can get it in early.

 

Yes there's a guy in Lathrop I see every time I go in there. I think he must be a former driver who hangs out there or something.

Same thing happened to me-- almost, couldn't sleep (87 degrees in the truck) and when alarm went off about an hour before 'go time' I went in to take a shower I just knew I was too tired so I opted to finish the 34 here at Sapp's Denver. Besides, there's a great river walk/bike path that is overflowing with rabbits that Abby loves to chase. Got all new brakes on the truck which qualifies for another free shower tonight lol. Will run it and hopefully have 10 hours before delivery otherwise may split break it.

Oh forgot to mention-- a guy walks up to me and Abby, asks me my company and what state I am from then exclaims that a Swift driver from California just won $3 million dollars at the Rifle Indian Casino and was giving away $100 dollar bills to everyone at the truck stop. This guy had hundreds of $100 dollar bills in his hand but Abby needed to go for her walk before I got a chance to shake his hand (he was surrounded by several dozen smiling faces), and the guy who brought me over was really trying to get me to stay. A few minutes later 2 Denver PD cruisers showed up and these guys scattered like ants.

That is a old scam from years ago. There is another one that is also used.

 

i have been sitting at denver term all day. they don't have elog class or sim class and the wait for b service is two days. what a waste of my time. still waiting for a preplan out of here. 7 hours now waiting.
