New boston terminal. Hoping this preplan doesn't change again. Get me out of michigan. Was that too much. I have been here 3 times since sunday.

 

They have a nice laundry room at New Boston.

Should be on the move tomorrow.

 

Can't speak for the womens, but the mens bathroom/showers are about the filthest that I've seen.

Don't know what it is about the men's rooms around this company. Most of them seem to be in poor maintenance. The Grandview men's room is currently gutted and under construction. The women's room is in good condition. For now, though, the guys have to use the port-yer-potty outside. Or walk over to the main building.

 

Don't sit on the big vertical toilets. And sometimes the porta john is in better shape than the regular restroom. Plus, there is usually better grafitti and more phone numbers in the portables.

 

Morris, IL with about 20 other swift trucks at a quick glance, didn't even look in the second row. I had 17 mins left on my elog for the day when I shutdown. Little close for comfort but I wanted to get by chicagoland.

 

Morris illinois. Waiting for my costco load to go home with tomorrow. On a side note had to stop in minooka I'll for fuel at the pilot. I watched a swift bobtail make a legal u turn. Only problem he or she made it a three point turn by trying to turn like a car. Held up traffic and everything. All I could do is hang my head.

 

....guess you can see who actually reads other people's responses and who doesn't.

There was a swift in an accident when I pulled in here.

 

What? The janitorette cleans it twice daily with that 151 proof wood grain non diluted pinesol lol. I especially like when she slathers that nasty string mop across the floor then sops it back into the nasty mud water bucket for later use day after day after day without ever rinsing it out or replenishing the cleaning solution. I have to wear a gas mask just to watch TV in there. Reminds me of the CS gas chambers they made us parade thru in the Marines training for gas attacks.

The showers in some of the terminals are in terrible shape. I suppose it comes with the territory of having thousands of guys using the facilities. The janitors do the best they can with what they got.

Glad to hear they are working on Grandview. Surprises me that it was in such bad shape for such (I imagine) little use compared to a standard OTR terminal. I was there over 4 of July time, the shower water was penetrating the waterproof shower back walls.

I've just gotten to the point that I won't shower in the terminals anymore. Maybe that's what the company wants-- due to high water bills and electric bills from heating all that water.

Oklahoma City possible bound for Louisiana next.
