Me and my "brilliant" ideas.... A week ago the tire rack on the back of truck got bent by trlr while doing very sharp turn because had to move 5th wheel forward to get legal. But it became unoperable. I'll be going to main terminal next week and they will probably remove it. Anyway, I've noticed one of the steer tires got slightly bald on a few parts near the outside edge... and instead of waiting a few more days to have all checked at the terminal, I decided to have tire replaced last Sunday. And only after they started working on the tire, I remembered that I would have to return bad tire to company terminal and I would have to carry tire outside rack and would have to move 5th wheel backward again... and when I p/up a load on Friday that is over 44 thousand lbs, may have to pay someone to put tire INSIDE the truck if I need to move 5th wheel forward again.... :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510: or, pay someone to have that tire rack removed and put inside truck while I tie that tire up to something else on the cat walk.... :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

I'm at rest area on I-75 KY.

I'm sorry. I didn't read several pages. I am in N Jackson, OH at the yard.
Going to get an accident review and perhaps fired tomorrow.
In the pitch dark in Fremont, OH I drug a trailer door off last night.

I don't do well in the dark. And I am #### sleepy right now!

Hang in there. Accidents do happen. If this is your first and you didn't hurt anyone, I suspect that you will not be fired. Doors can be rehung. Important thing is what you learned from the experience. I know when I crunched a pole, I learned that when I get distracted to stop and refocus. If you drop your guard it only takes a split second. These tractors and trailer are light weight and fragile. When you throw 40 plus tons around you have to know at all times where the machine is headed. Stay cool and take the punishment knowing you are not alone out here.:biggrin_2558:

at the house again.. booked it all the way from Columbia, SC to Arcadia, Fl to drop at the WalMart DC and then spunn tires all the way back up to Lakeland to get truck on the yard.. Tomorrow it's going into the shop for the EGR cooler, and to have the exhaust filter regen thing looked at. Shop believes something might be wrong with it.. They asked when was the last time it did a regen and i told them i've never noticed it, they asked if i've ever seen a light and i told them i've only see three lights on my dash, idle shut down, engine warn, and exhaust filter temp.. so now they think something is wrong the the exhaust filter and the regen. it's going to be interesting tomorrow.

Good luck dave.. i doubt they'll cut ya nadds off.. people do worst and they're still on the road.

Oh I also forgot to mention that yesterday was mah birfday. Celebrated (if you want to call it that) with popeye's chicken, a few episodes of Big Bang Theory on dvd and some online gaming.

..which isn't really much of a deviation from any other night in the truck.
