Yeah dumping the back axle with a 40k sitting on the spread isn't really gonna do much......unless you have the right setup....lol
I very rarely dump mine. When I do its usually when I'm empty more than loaded.

I can only imagine how much weight was on the back of my spread reefer after the dock monkeys got done putting produce on.....Rarely Cat scaled and just about never crossed a state scale if ya know what I mean.. :smt108

I had 22 pallets with my last load, 47500 pounds of onions.
And I try to limit myself to only one coil.
Backing a van at night is a cake walk vs. backing a flat into a building door at a steel mill in the daylight.

left vegas late this morning without finding a hose to get rid of them midwest bugs and dirt.Truck was running warm but just kept backing out of it for it to stay cool.coming out of laughlin was a treat had to run up in 3rd to stay cool enough.signs out of vegas said no trucks on 93 from 8 am to 5 pm.get to scale in az and officer says im 700 over on trailer.stunned at first but think i checked gauges and they were ok and they only put 46000 on .i should be ok.as hes about to tell me to go around back i tell him its a spread.he says sorry didnt look at trailer,hands my permit book back and says sorry to scare you driver have a good day.finally found a hose in kingman so back to runnin.
oh in gallup where the nice nm officers even checked my book. -
It doesn't help that aluminum doesn't have the tensil strength of steel. It allows an aluminum beam to flex more - making it more susceptible to cracking.
We have our indoor/covered docks as well. Probably don't have all of the obstacles that y'all have to deal with in a mill though.
