Didn't get very far today (by design, want to flip my working clock around..). Got my redneck homemade APU fired up and running finally. Consists of a 2000 watt Honda inverter/generator and an 8000 BTU portable air conditioner that is good for something like 600 square feet.

I was having nightmares whenever I tried to sleep with the truck running that hundreds of dollars were blowing out the stacks, then I'd wake up and it was reality. Now Abby and I can sleep with the truck turned off, I'm estimating a savings of over $300 bucks a week in fuel not burned and perhaps $50 bucks a week savings indirectly from less wear and tear on the engine not having to work 24 hours a day.

 

At the pilot in minooka, IL. After a long hot shower, and a mini cheese burger and milk, I'm ready to call it a night.

 

Ohio again near cleveland.

 

Spent the weekend at home, picked up Monday, fast trip to Houston, back to Dallas area for del this morning, picked up another load near the house for del in Houston tomorrow, so I am at home again tonight.

 

Careful that doesn't become someone else's Redneck APU... wouldn't take but a minute for a less than honest person to make off with it.
