Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

"Driver can earn up $60k annually" shows how out of touch these idiots are. Some of these drivers in the oil field make a lot more money than that. I can't figure out why a driver would do the same job for much less than the guy in the next truck?

Has anyone seen any Schneider trucks hauling crude in ND...?? They are all over down in Texas driving down the rates. Hiring newbies and school grads promising $48,100/yr. Just wanna get the word out to EVERYONE NOT to drive for Schneider. There are plenty of other companies that will pay much better for the same #### work. Got this from a poster on Craigslist...
"Schneider National is advertising on Craigslist looking for drivers in the Eagle Ford oilfield. They are only paying 40K-50K per year. Don't support low wages by working for these guys. You can make 80K a year doing the same work, working for someone else. Schneider National destroyed freight rates in the early 90's, thereby depressing driver's wages. Don't support this behavior and allow them to ruin our great pay here in the Eagle Ford Shale. Say NO to cheap labor and say NO to Schneider!!!
To all you trucking school graduates: You too can get the higher paying jobs if you only take your time and do your research. Everyone is hurting for drivers and it's only going to get worse. I've been in trucking for 18 years and I've never seen a drivers market like this. Drivers have the upper hand on these ########! Don't work for peanuts!! Go get a real paying job, it's out there, and it's not at Schneider National!!!!
Attention Schneider: Keep flagging my posts if you want to. I'll just keep re-posting. We (drivers) aren't going to allow you to ruin the rates like you did in the freight business in the 90's, there is no need for it!! There's plenty of money out here for everybody. Quit destroying rates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And apparently Schneider does keep flagging this poster because he had put up over a dozen different postings similar to this one and they all got taken down. I'm happy to repost and do my small part in fighting the large carriers from driving down our pay. -
If it isn't Schneider, it will be someone else. Such is capitalism. If you are making "good" money there will assuredly be someone willing to do it for less. That is the blessing & curse of capitalism.
hosss Thanks this. -
I've seen allot of SNI ads for these jobs they're even offering bonuses to drivers that relocate to take the job...
And it says UP TO $60,000/yr*
then when you follow the * to the bottom of the page to the worlds smallest print it says, Depending on experiance...
Yet they'll hire NEW drivers for these jobs.....
All that work for UP TO $60K

AT--how many miles do you drive a year? What was you gross pay for the last full year you drove? I think $60K is pretty good pay. Only my highest paid drivers will make $60K this year. They will run in the vicinity of 120K miles for that. Home for 34 every weekend. Averaging 2 weeks off for vacation. Most of them would not choose to work harder to make more money.

When ever it says "UP TO" means the top driver makes that while the majority make considerably less.
They sent me an email last week. I have no idea how they got my addy? Maybe from Career Builder.com?
They offer up to $2500 relocation assistance. For a company to do that, they are desperate.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
plenty of posts on her about north dakota oilfields.
trick is,there is no housing and they run day cabs.
you can take a camper up there ,...but at -30 below zero in the winter you might as well live in a tent -
I just moved up to western PA and work with these well sites, I've driven for nearly 10 years now but all in the south. Simply put if they put a new driver up here or the surrounding areas hauling frac sand they're going to have a lot of accidents on their record, this is the sketchiest work I've ever been around.
I have respect for trucks, heavy loads and switchback roads with 13-18 percent grades, this is where these sites are located up north. This type of driving so far has made me a nervous wreck at times, but I take my time and drive it how I feel safe, a new guy on these roads is a disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully SNI will only employ guys in these types of hauls with a year or more driving experience, you need to know a truck and what its capabilities are before you try your hands at this stuff.
AT, you've got a bunch of miles under your belt now so when are you going to try your hand at it? A guy with your work ethic could get on with a good company here in PA hauling frac sand making boo-koo bucks.
