Everytime I go there it screws up my paycheck due to their "we are the only shipper/reciever on earth" attitude. We took 6 hours to unload you and kicked you off the property past your 14 on an Elog? Tough crap, get out!

Why did you drive your truck past the hours? Did you get company approval on QC before moving your truck onto a public right of way?
-
what sysco did you go too??

Sysco in Las Vegas,NV is the same way, I live in LV,NV everytime i get a load home and that goes to sysco, I know i'll be there better part of the day, last time home, Delievered there, had 8 pallets, 7 1/2 hours, when asking them, why so long?, they said, we have to check the product in? All I can do is smile at them,

Sysco in Billings, Mt. is pretty good. We used to do 3 loads a year of Kikomann to them, 44,000 lbs of soy sauce each time. Longest was 6 hrs, avg. was 3 hrs. I know the Sysco here in Denver can be a PITA at times.

I do LTL into Sysco facilities all the time and every so often I get held up for a extra hour or so. The big thing is knowing the procedures. Some make you pull the pallets off where others pull them off, but either way it's the drivers responsibility to break them down (or hire a lumper). I would rather go to a Sysco anyday than to go to Maines Paper or some of the C&S facilities.

I never have been held at a sysco anywhere more than 3 hrs. They know that it will cost them big bucks...of course these are sysco direct loads...so no lumper needed

As a general rule of thumb, all customers that operate their own fleets are downright horrible to outside carriers. Why? I have no idea.

I keep getting told that Sysco refuses to pay detention. Which is of course why they keep getting away with detaining trucks for 4-6-8 hours at a time, which in turn is forcing HOS violations. I'm really tired of shippers and receivers that think they're the only ones on the planet.

I drove for them before UPS Freight and I must say its a horrible place to be, whether you are a driver for Sysco or an outside carrier. The supervisors dont care about anything other then there next smoke break. Then they stand outside and ##### about how dumb all the OTR drivers are.
