Go and get 2 sticks. Jam one on the clutch and one on the gas. That will override the shutdown. Works on every truck that has this setup.

I think he was saying something about not being real happy with Knight. Personally, I just can't imagine anyone NOT just loving that company!:biggrin_2559:

And I'm sure that Dave would agree with me~!:yes2557:

Pop your hood, if you have a Volvo. Attached to the hood you will see a sensor zip-tied to the inside of the grill towards the bottom. Just remove the sensor leaving the zip-ties in place to hold the wire in place. It's flex loomed and you cant's miss it. You can now idle all you want but of course this will also slow the top speed of your truck down. Just replace it when getting service on your truck...if you make it that long with them.

So they really told you to "hang out in a truckstop" for your break? I don't doubt that one bit. Clueless tools they are. I stopped by Hutchins one day after picking up a trailer at a customer in Duncanville that had a flat on it. I sat there for two hours while the 7 mechanics did nothing. The load was late due to that. I think Knight hates themselves more than they hate their drivers.

What a P.O.S. company. Knight Transportation and their management are sorry mf'ers and soon to be convicted felons for their cover up from the hit-n-run in Kansas. It is only a matter of time until Knight drivers have their fuel cards shut off and are stranded 1,000's of miles from home like Arrow did. If you are a knight driver....QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told you they had a idle policy in orientation. it says it in the drivers manual. And no APU was strapped to the back of the sleeper.

And now you are ######## because it is 2 hot to sleep?

The 3 things Knight tells their drivers who ##### about the idle policy after they seat a truck and did not pay attention in orientation or read the drivers manual 3. Buy fans and blow the hot air out the window till your low voltage warning comes on. 2. sleep in the truck stop lounge. and the number one response, You picked your occupation, not us.

Next company ask recruiter, A. do you have a idle policy, if yes B. do you have APU's if no, then don't work there. Problem solved
