Morons like that need a TOTAL truck boycott... they'll learn pretty darn quick just how much they rely on trucks.

Mesquite was one of my regular stop-n-eat places. Terrible's at Primm was a regular sleep spot. I don't gamble, but I prefer casinos over truck stops because they are cleaner and have better amenities and food... cheaper too.

Well they have totally screwed up Mesquite. Frankly, if I was still driving I would NEVER stop there anymore. The Oasis is closed. The truck parking behind the convenience store across from Virgin River is now charging to park there. The gambling at the Black Casino's, that is Virgin River and Casa Blanca sucks.

It is not too bad at the Eureka and their food is better than the other places, but it is nothing to brag about.

HalpinUout, I take it you are an O/O. I met a guy at one of the casinos I go to a while back who plays in Vegas "professionally" (dont know what that means). I don't recall his name but he was good at the craps table too.

This thread has been long dead but just to add another.

The Majestic Star in Gary Indiana just recently added a new truck parking area that has tons of parking right next to the Hotel... Take exit 5 north off of 80/94 and go up about 4 miles and you will see the signs...

Not the best food options but beats sitting at the Gary truck stops especially if your doing a restart...

The poker room normally has a few tables going.

Here's a little hack I learned. If you sign up for a membership card, its free. But what you get is "free plays."

The casino basically gives your membership card credits on the machines, and some places actually give CDL holders more. Now, what you do is play your favorite slot machine, but you cash out every time you win anything worthwhile. Do this before your meal and sometimes you basically get a free meal.

I never gamble my own money but recently I made $70 in Iowa and bought myself a dinner consisting of some very good sirloin steak, and a hotel room for the night with CDL discount. These places can be used to your advantage.

The only thing I ever play is poker and if I have a good night and win a few hundred I normally will throw a 100 in a slot or on the black jack table...

And I do the same thing normally as soon as a slot hits anything like $20 or $30 bucks I cash out right away and go get a good dinner

The Alamo in Sparks is good, but go a little further to the TA exit 19 (?) and walk around the corner to Western Village, great food, gambling and cheap rooms.

Oregon I84x214 Pendleton truck parking or park at the truck stop, shuttles run back and forth.

Chicago Harrah's. My terminal is only 8 miles away, I like to drop my load in the terminal then bobtail down to the casino.

Laughlin NV Harrah's. Off I40 Arizona exit at Kingman TA and run north on 93 and hook a left on 68. Cross over bridge into Nevada hook a left on Casino Blvd and go all the way down to Harrah's. Big RV park lot but they don't want us parking there, 300 yards away in the lot where boaters park, that's where they want us. Go into the gas station to register free parking. Optionally you can get a limo ride down the hill for front door casino entry. I like to walk down, it is a very steep hill butthey do have stairs. Coming back out I take two steps at a time, by the time I get to the top my legs feel like noodles. If you're going into California, go back out the way you came in except hook a left at the light and go up to 163 and hook another left on 95 south to pick up I40 again.

St Louis-- again I drop my trailer atthe terminal then go back out to I270 E and cross over into IL and a few miles away is a riverboat casino with truck parking that I like.

Detroit, MGM casino however when I bobtailed up there I didn't see any place to park it easily and didn't feel like calling their help line for info.

I know across the river in Windsor Ontario there are casinos but not sure about the rules for bobtailing across in a commercial vehicle.
