I have heard that ammonia and water is a good mix too.

I luckily don't have to mess with this stuff yet. But I've noticed the pumps that have it the nozzle is on the drivers side and the tanks on the passenger of most trucks I've seen. How convenient is that? Is the hose long enough to reach across the tractor?

The DEFACATOR workswith a combination of Urea Fertilizer and about 35% water.

It.s named DEFacator because it a "crappy" set-up.

No it isn't. My Pete 587 is on the passenger side but they have switched the newer models over to the drivers side. The solution is too either pull into the pump going the wrong the way or you can use the pump to the right of your truck if no one else is using it. Luckily my company has it at the terminal and adding DEF on the road is never more than a matter of adding 2.5 gallons from a jug to get back home with.

I've never seen that. Thank the gods my tank is on the driver's side. And I find a lot of DEF at the pump, maybe at every third or fourth fueling- the deal is, do you want to wait in line for that pump? It is so much easier to use the pump rather than buying multiple bottles, but sometimes you just don't feel like being the third truck in line for the pump when the others are empty.

And after a recent worry with not being able to find it for too long (at assigned fuelings), you better believe I'm carryinbg a spare bottle from now on.

Carry a spare DEF jug or two, refill them when you get to a bulk pump that doesn't have that long line

I drive a 2012 cascadia, and next time the meter for the def is at 1 bar, Im gonna save all my piss bottles, and poor some in. I drink only water, and eat healthly all day, so my pee will be very pure, as pure as pee can be. I will let you know on my results. The nerve of the government taxing water and pee!
