Same here, always a drop n hook, and almost always an mt, can only remember once out of 10 or so drops that there wasn't one.

I questioned it this afternoon with my DM to make sure so that I could plan my trip, and confirmed, it is a live unload. I would have hated to head out early in the morning, get there, and find out then, live and burn up all of my hours.

I am going to guess that all your DM did was look at the trip and did not call to verify. I'm going to bet that it's a drop, regardless of what your DM says.

EDIT The thing that will take time is getting the Q/C message that this was scheduled as a live unload. Dropping is not authorized. Please stay in the area and contact your Driver Leader for further instructions.

have had that happen in the past. show up, told to drop, then wait for a couple of hours while they fix the problem. Right now, between a rock and a hard place. I will get in there about 4 hours early, and then see what happens.

First time that happened to me I went back to the consignee and told them they needed to unload the trailer. Their response was that they Never live unload trailers. Sent freeform message "We don't live unload trailers". This caught the fleet manager's eye and she wrote that I could not exclude myself from unloading trailers when the customer needs their product off.

Scottie ... your loaded call will no longer change the PTA from the PTA that was set in the load plan.

Mac 34 is what is used now to change your PTA, regardless of the type of logs.

Yeah, Plus One is becoming quite the irritant. It is not set up to properly handle WalMart dedicated and overrides delivery scheduling for the return to the DC. I've gotten a "send macro 22" at least once per load.

I would like to go back to being "invisible" to the fleet computer so the Phoenix ECT doesn't get a flag every night and send me a personal "How come you're late?" to drop an empty trailer back at the barn.

How about because it's just how we do things here? You can go back to minding your own business now. We have our own ECT and if they don't like something, they have my phone number. WalMart's happy, so why do you care?

I can't make this stuff up lol. The other day at the consignee, the chick back in receiving says 'take that empty trailer out of the hole and put your loaded one in its place.' So I'm like 'cool, I can back up real quick and do my empty call after hooking the pigtail.' Pull the trailer around the side and drop it then start backing around the corner for the other trailer, as I'm going by I see the 'empty' trailer is half full of product still. Go back in she says that's to return to the shipper. I call the Pod and get some genius on the phone who tells me the computer has me empty already. I ask again if they know anything about a trailer load going back to shipper. Response: "are you sure you want your PTA at 2100? Today is Friday." I'm like 'yeah, I started at 2100 last night and it's 1025 now,, but what about this trailer?' Crickets.

Now receiving chick comes back out and says stick it back in the hole and she'll take both my loads. There goes my 14, I'm spent, have to pull out my 10 there all night.

I guess I never noticed. I did change my PTA with the empty call the other day because after the Empty Call Received and Updated msg, came the Drvr 1 has changed PTA msg. Never used that Mac 34 yet.
