Head north on US 13 (parallel's 1) to 295 north get off at ext 2B just over the bridge in NJ. Pilot, and a FJ there. No tolls on 295 in DE. or NJ. heading north.

Or head north on 301 to 40 west to 279 north. There is a T/A and FJ there, it is exit 109 off of 95 in MD.

What's wrong with US13? When did that get restricted? If you're bobtail, you're less than 10 ton. You should be able to go about anywhere that's not low clearance.

Well. I look at it that you are delivering yourself out of the local area. But that's just me. As long as you are comfortable where you're sitting, you should be alright.

You are illustrating one of the reasons I detest that area so much. Well, two. Since there's notoriously not much freight coming out of there.

Truck stop book says there's a truck stop in Middleton. Medium sized. If it's like the one in Easton DE, medium truck stop means it can accomodate 2 trucks and trailers lol.

I stayed in Laurel once, at the pay to park place, they tried to charge me, I whipped out my ID. My last name is the same as the trucking business next door. "Yes sir Mr. XXX, you're OK to park here..."

Your right 299 is restricted, I have gone down it a couple of times. It does go thru old town Middletown. About 6-8 lights and 25mph limit. The only reason it is restricted is because they don't want trucks cutting between 1 and 301. There are no low overpasses or any bridges to cross. It's just another typical stupid anti truck law they have in the N.E.

You could call the local P.D. and ask what the designated truck route is from where you are to 301. I am sure they will be helpful if they answer the phone:biggrin_25511:

If you call the P.D. ask if you can run Marl Pit Rd from 13 to 301 its just north of 299 or ask them about DE. 896 between 13 and 301. 896 is not to far north of town and I have run it before, but can't remember if it was restricted 896 does not go thru any towns so it may be the designated route

Looks like I get to stay in the SVC plaza another evening. Talked to the DM's this afternoon, and they could not believe that I have been sitting, and when I told them that 3 company trucks pulled out here this morning to get a load, and I asked him about the O/O having a priority on loads, he said yes, so then why asked, why am I still sitting.

Did have something interesting this afternoon, some European tourists came up to me when I was out of the truck, and asked if they could take some pics. I said yes. Even let the wife of one them sit in the truck for some pics. After they left I kicked myself in the foot, they also wanted a pic of me with them. The one guy's wife was smokin hot. That is what I get for not really listening.
