Do not work for knight transportation!!!

I have read reports on just about every trucking company that exist and am present looking for a good one to drive for. so does anyone have a good one they would recommend

LMAO. I wonder how many abandoned trucks Knight has per year with the way the dry **** their drivers?

 

Apparently enough to keep at least one person busy on a full time basis going out and collecting them. I left there in 2004, but at that time, they had at least one full time guy out of Phoenix that did nothing but that.

 

A lot of them are returned to other Knight terminals. That's why you'll see trucks from all over parked in the bobtail section of every night terminal. I can't tell you how many times I felt like doing that. Like everytime I arrived at one of Knights stupid idiot customers...some moron from another terminal had already given my load away. In the end though I turned that POS truck in where it belonged. Knight REE-tards.

It shouldn't take you but a few days to realize your surrounded by a bunch of morons whose main goal is too cheat you out of a dollar in exchange for a shiney quarter. If it does, them stay away from sharp objects and hard surfaces.

Well said and very well written Tracyq. You're right on with all your points. Attitude and performance are EVERYTHING.

 

I agree with that. What a shame Knights attitude and performance is so lackluster. Most of us realize that an honest living for an honest paycheck isn't such a distant goal and take our attitudes and performance elsewhere.

I feel bad for all the drivers who pick loads up off the yard and deliver them for free, scale loads and pay tolls without reimbursement all because they don't know better.

 

I came to work here at Knight hoping it would work, nope I was wrong. Knight has NO FREIGHT, barely get 2,000 miles a week. Stuck sitting more than moving, and trying to get detention pay is a huge battle with the driver manager. Shops never listen to the driver ans do not want to fix problems on the trucks unless they feel like it. No Idle policy, #### trucks shut down after 5 minutes, and the so called bunk heaters, well they SUCK!!!!! If you apply and come to work here, bad idea and I told you so!

 

I currently work for Knight and YES I can tell you our trucks are Idle Controlled, they will not run if its under 70 degrees and if its not under 28 degrees. Maybe when you were here, but the company sucks now, no freight maybe 2,000 miles a week if we are all lucky!
