Nice to see somebody posting positive for once.:biggrin_25514:

Lots of folks have decent experiences, but don't tend to post about them.

So I haven't been on for awhile due to the fact that I haven't stopped moving! I give Schneider credit for having tons of freight to keep us moving. Here in about 6 months I'm going to head down to Fontana to become a trainer for Schneider and hopefully in a couple years I can find a good teammate and can start teaming! I've gotten a couple of guys I know to sign on with schneider and so far they're both happy. Like I said my only complaint is the pay's a little low but they make up for it with lots of freight and great people to work with!

Y2k next time I get down through there I'll have to look out for you! By the way watch out for that Ridgefield scale they got me for being 1700 over on my trailer tandems lol! It wasn't my fault the scale down at Jubitz weighed me at 34100 on my trailer and I was like oh I'm good so when I hit the scale and seen my weight was 35700 I was pretty po'd haha! gotta love the dot

So I know this thread is dead but i'm gonna keep updating it cuz I feel like it haha! So I've been at Schneider approx. 4 months and I'm still pretty happy. They have they're downfalls but what company doesn't. So we'll start with the bad, once again low pay is driving me nuts, they don't like to give you truck washes, and just this past weekend I had to sit for a day. I sat in one of our oc's in CA but it's the first time so I was pretty forgiving but I found out they we're having trouble finding freight that loaded on a Sunday out of there. It really wasn't that bad of a deal cuz I got to sit in the oc and watch the nascar championship! The good still out weighs the bad though. I couldn't ask to be treated better by my dispatchers and they never get irritated with me when I have to call in and ask what the heck I'm supposed to do. I usually average anywhere from 2300 to 2700 since I switched over to the Western 11 fleet. I get home either on time or the morning after I'm supposed to, the maintenance guys always fix my truck when it needs something done to it. Overall I'm still a happy pumpkin I just hope the clock doesn't strike midnight on this company. Like I said they have their issues but as long as the good can outweigh the bad i'll stay. Happy Thanksgiving to all you drivers and I hope ya'll got to be home with your family's. Stay safe out there.

I've been with Schneider for about a year now. They are okay to work for. If you want to get decent miles in, you have to drive more than just oregon, washington, and california.

Being governed at 60 mph on cruise control sucks, but it does keep me out of trouble in the slow speed limit states. I do wish that Schneider would care more about whether their trucks are washed or not. Sometimes mine gets to be a really dirty orange.

Schneider does have plenty of freight, but only in areas where they have regular accounts with their customers. You don't want to get stuck up in Montana. They don't have much going out of there.:mwink:

Yeah my truck is a brownish orange, almost like the Browns. The only time you can get a truck wash is after a pm once every three months. Fortunately I lucked out and got a truck that's governed at 65 so I get plenty of performance notices about speeding:biggrin_2559:. They're a good stepping stone to get your experience time up and to test the waters to see if truckings what you really wanna do.

Well, I'm afraid my honeymoon with them is about over. I've submitted my resignation effective the end of this week.

I'm basically tired of getting screwed over when I work holiday weekends. I got royally shafted this weekend, after volunteering to work through T'giving. I won't go into details, but after four years of battling support shift and the weekend load planners, I've had enough. While the company continues to improve technology, the quality of support shift (especially the weekenders) continues to suffer. It really comes down to a return on my investment of time away from home. And the ROI this T'giving holiday weekend was so poor that there is no way I can justify staying any longer.

I'm applying for fuel-hauling positions closer to home. I've got a lot of good things to say about SNI, but it's time for me to move on.

Best of luck to you driver, like I said sni is a good stepping stone to bigger and better jobs. One of the better starter companies but definitely not a career company.
