I've used CamScanner a few times. The only problems I've had were related to lighting and bills of lading that were printed on dot matrix with multiple copies (and of course the customer always hands you the bottom copy, which is barely readable by the human eye in bright light). I typically use my camera app to take the pics, maybe adjust brightness and contrast with PicSay, then import from the Gallery into CamScanner.

I have had bills like that...mostly P&G. Some of which I tried to use the old in cab transflow software that didn't have the dark/light adjustment. When they went to the newest update and added that, it was a major improvement. When I did it with the camscan, it came out ok(I have a Thunderbolt w/a 8 or 10mp camera, I forget which) and it took a while to send, so I figured that all 13 pages went thru...but then they waited until 1210 est before msg'g me about it, so I couldn't call my terminal about what was missing. Out of frustration, I found a transflow and sent it in.... 4 times.... That way when they say they still didn't get it...I will ask them which one. It is a typical Crete half-aced way of doing something. Promote something that hasn't been fully tested, but the only one that gets screwed in the deal when it doesn't work right is the driver.

Just like their equipment... I like the ride and handling of this Prostar, and when the Maxxforce is running right, it pulls great. But my chug-chug has turned into a full blown problem...randomly when I start out from a dead stop, it almost dies completely for a few seconds, like it's out of fuel. It even does it from time to time when I slow down to make a turn. I pulled 1/2 of the fuel out of the filter, and it was clean...no water and very little debris. And if this freaking on-guard brake-checks me into the seatbelt for no reason one more time, I'm gona have a convienient 'road damage' impact to take it out. Plus, it doesn't matter whether you turn on the jake or not...it still uses them. If I get pulled over for using them in a 'no jake' town and get a ticket because of it, I'll just forward it to AMS or International.

I did see one of the new mid-roof Cascadia's in a truck stop the other day. The driver had his curtains pulled so I didn't see inside, but I did notice something about the outside. You can tell these trucks are built in a red-neck area of the US and not in Mexico. The battery driven a/c is sorta hanging out of the back of the sleeper like you see some of those old trucks people rig with the wally window unit mounted through a hole they chopped in the sleeper. The only thing missing on the Cascadia was the duct tape and 3 tubes of silicone to keep it from leaking.(it may have been there, but they put a fancy piece of plastic around it). you can still see that it looks just like a window unit w/o the metal shroud. Way to go Freightliner... I see your design team went to great length to make that look good. Same guys who designed a plastic cover for the fuse box of my old Century instead of designing a truck that didn't channel all the notorious Freightliner water leaks directly into the exact place they chose to mount the trucks primary fuse box.

They did finally get me home. Only 3 days late...with just enough time to get home time in and then a 3 week run before Christmas.

I figured out something for all us Maxxforce drivers. When you get that green shift arrow, and it stops pulling...ease off the gas, hit the clutch, then back on the gas...it'll pull all the way over 2k. I did have another issue arise when I tried to leave the General Mills plant in Covington, GA the other day. Since this is the only big truck that I have ever driven where you have to push the clutch pedal to start the thing...it seems as though the clutch pedal sensor is a little out of adjustment. I had to hit the clutch pedal like I was trying to put it through the floor. After that, it started normal.

It seems that my insistence of not getting miles has paid off. I ended up having 2.5 days of breakdown, and 2 days of swap truck time...and I still managed to run over 13,000 miles, and was home by 3 am on the 30th. So in 25 days, 13,000 miles..I can't complain one little bit. Plus, they want me to please report for duty as soon as I am suppose to, they need me.

I seem to remember that at some point in this thread they were trying to figure out who you were ... possibly to punish you further (LOL) ... that they said they need you is a definite change in a positive direction. Before you know it you'll be getting consistent numbers like evertruckerr. Keep it up SS, we like to hear you're doing well.:biggrin_25514:

Well, we also like to hear about the bad things as well ... human condition of mental sickness I suspect. LOL.:biggrin_25525:

I was told that the new "winter blend" sold at the Pilot is clogging the fuel filters. I was told ( at JB Hunt ) to drain them at least once a week.

Could be, I only have 5000 miles on it and the glass housing is over 3/4 full. And we do use Pilots a lot. Breakdown said to get routed through a shop(a company shop preferably) and change the filter first before I go to International. Although come to think about it, this started the day after my 1st fill-up which was at our terminal in Lincoln...so I'm not sure.

My Prostar has been in the shop for two days now. Im having issues with the Regen.. It seems that a sensor has gone bad. If ANYTHING along the Regen chain goes down it takes the whole system down. I have an older Prostar 08/09 with 350K on it. I wonder how long before they decide to sell it or trade it?
