That road sucks going to kingsford, I haven't been there at night wonder how that is. One good thing about going to kingsford they have showers.

 

tackled nyc at 0500 with great success. in and out by 0930. me and my logbook are pooped so sitting at service plaza till next morning. preplan already to take me to tn.

 

Maybe I am goofy, but I enjoy that drive. It is the most challenging road I have traveled on in the big truck.

 

Challanging I want in a sports car ... truck not so much.

South of St Louis MO. There's a broke owner operator here trying to sell 100 gallons of diesel for $200 bucks. Veeeery tempting.I took the dog for a walk around the truck stop and took note of the police cruiser out front near the gas pumps and a sheriff's van pulling in a few minutes later parked right next to the cruiser. Around back is a 1 ton Chevy van with a CB antennae and blacked out windows. I'm thinking sting operation or coincidence. So I got on the radio to have a little fun with the guy/test him, I said, "$3 bucks a gallon is my final offer and all I have is cash." He got kinda mad, said he would pay with his fuel card, the IFTA is taken care of, he's just broke this week and needs cash- the money comes out of his settlement next week.

Anyhoo, tomorrow empty out in Davenport IA then spend my 10 or 12 over at Iowa 80, really want that drop in catwalk toolbox, but do I really *need* it?

 

Still at home. Turned out got a double whammy, both stomach infection and viral. today drove into town and purchased a HEPA air purifier, and can already smell the difference. Also had to get my house cleaner over here when I get back on the road too completely disinfect the whole house, counter and cabinets and possibly have to purchase a new fridge, since this one is old and seeing some mold. Ohhh, what fun. Be safe everyone, and today, also wiped out my escrow to get me out of hole.

On a good note, my other escrow and security deposits are paid, so an extra $150/week.

 

martinsburg term. pumps here only gave me 99 gal.? also, made the planner mad cause i kept turning down texas loads. oh well.

 

Texas ain't so bad now. Just got out of Huntsville, only had to sit there for 49 hours. Tons of deer out back behind the Pilot. Every few hours Abby and I would walk back there and harass the deer around the woods lol.

Finished orientation today, coded, heading out with my mentor tomorrow. Really excited about the road ahead as a brand new Swift driver!
