It doesn't use all that much fuel.

    Last month I had a 45% idle.
    I also averaged 8.3 mpg.

Tapeworm, DenaliDad and Injun Thank this.

Yeah i know it uses a lot less than they claim, my Volvo says its using about .4 gal per hour if the dash display is to be trusted not the 1-1.5 they like to tell us it uses.

I was only there once, but the long line for the trailer inspection ate up my hrs on a Friday afternoon. I got to the big Pilot there after I dropped my trailer at some place and sat there until Tuesday.

As for me, at the TA in Zion, IL. Drop this load off in Chicago, then I'll get something going towards Iowa to get a B-service.

Battle Creek,MI Lost my trailer when they wanted it dropped instead of a live unload and then spent the next 4 hours hunting one down. At least the trailer hunt worked me towards my pickup. Finally got a T series trailer, check it out, everything looks good, go to crank the landing gear and the handle is lying on the ground. Was able to get them up enough and hit up a Walmart to buy a nut and bolt to fix it with. Off to good old Morris,IL tomorrow so bet I get a Costco load next. Home time is this week too can't wait.

OK, went to pick up my load, guard says "No Swift loads going out today". So I called it in, the driver leader tells me another driver has the load on its way. That doesn't jibe, he checks, says it's t called in Muscatine Iowa. Go get it and won't let me L call. Call in again, got that fixed. Several hours later they cancel the t call in Lancaster and tell me to deliver to Laredo. I ask about re-setting up t call in Lancaster due to needing to get out of there this week for hometime. Driver leader says 139 trucks in Laredo waiting for 40 loads or something, and 12 trucks in Laredo waiting for Zero, nada, nothing loads, pick your poison. Oh well, load adds a little over 400 miles, though they have not updated the miles from the original t call to Lancaster.

Anyway after spending about as much time on the phone today as driving, shut down in Kingdom City MO.

Note to self: Pay DM to avoid Laredo. Pay often. Pay large.

Last night OKC at the yard. Tonight, OKC at the yard after running an empty trailer move from Pauls Valley Walmart to Hobby Lobby on OKC.

With daughters and grandchildren there, OKC for a couple of days sounds to me like a company-paid mini vacation. But with my luck - and bank account - I'll never see it and get stuck in Laredo!
