North Canton,OH at the TA. Spend a couple hours cleaning the truck this afternoon, just took a nice long hot shower so feeling good. Long day tomorrow after a string of short ones, pu at 8, going to try and make it to Madison,WI, if not I'll settle for Janesville.. Deliver tomorrow in Augusta,WI. Tomorrow is supposed to be start of home time but will be 240 miles away after this load so hopefully they can find something going towards Rockford. Looking forward to some great Midwest skiing with friends as a warm up to getting to Park City later in the winter.

Had to do what I had to do. Need to be home by Thursday and was not going to wait around for even a day (DM told me there were zero loads out of Laredo in any direction anyway)-- would not have made it on time what with all the required breaks.
I used to read that (Battle Creek MI) on the cereal boxes as a kid and marvel at such a far-away place and what it must be like there. Half a lifetime later and in a new career I take a load up there and see. Like so many other places I read about and saw on TV or movies, it is America just like where I am from-- whodathunkit?
I love my jobfr8monkey Thanks this. -
that's going to be me in the morning, load or not.

when swift strands you in texas there is no potential for revenue. you will sit for days until you bobtail out to find freight. every load to texas will result in a loss.scottied67 Thanks this.

btw, laredo tx. it will cost me $650 to drive home from here. i knew better than to take a load here but i did it anyway. two weeks profits down the drain.

Used to be booming around here, Kelloggs and Post...we had a world renowned Sanatarium here where movie stars and rich people used to come...now we are a washed up falling apart town with no Jobs..the cereal headquarters are here but the dont hire the locals, and 90% of all the production is now in Mexico..scottied67 Thanks this.
