They don't just clean showers . At Love's they also run the fuel desk . At the Pilot they empty trash cans on the lot , stock shelves , clean toilets and fill in to make sandwiches at Subway .
Some Pilots just clean showers on demand . They won't clean them until they are all dirty and somebody needs one .

I will leave a tip if it's a location where the shower's are nice and clean and the attendant is polite and courteous.

I will leave a tip only if i have it to spare at the moment a $1 to $2, most cases i need the change to wash clothes with, but i will leave a tip anyway even if i have to take it out of my clothes wash money, because i understand what they are going thru. I used to do the job myself and to gearjammer not all people that clean showers are foriegn.

I'm in the "I do if it's above and beyond expectations" crowd. I don't think it's too much to expect someone to do their job, no matter how "menial" it may be or appear to be.

Top tip: $5. Guy at a TA once not only greeted me after I got my shower assignment, he gave me TWO extra towels, escorted me to the shower, and asked me if everything was satisfactory.

Won't happen again if I drive another 20 years....

tipping for a service is polite, but not required as in food service they have made it a requirement otherwise they don't get paid. so I tip when I feel like it and if I don't I wont. as for the Russian roulette comment, I'll loan you the gun if you want to demonstrate!

Like others said in not so many words, that's a nice attitude!

Lots of people (AMERICANS) by the way, work at jobs where tipping in part of the gig. I'd much rather see a person working at any job, no matter how "lowly" than sitting home watching tv on welfare and letting the people who do work pay for their entire existence...

Here's a tip. Take your own advice. You sound like a real idiot. :biggrin_2559:
