    Hi All
I am considering joining the container fleet out of the Philly area and was hoping jmurman or someone could tell me about your experience with that, like weekly miles, hometime, etc.
    Much appreciated

He get hurt?...looked like the drivers side windshield was hit, but the tow truck driver and shop guys didn't know any details about what happened to the driver or how it happened.

And that is Crete's policy...roll it, and we'll see ya' reguardless of the cause(unless you were hit broadside I would guess). I think a person would be gone if they were traveling down the road and a rogue gust of wind hit you at just the right time and place and tipped it...even if there weren't any major storms moving through. Which scares me, with the big karma bull's eye on my back.

And I am officially going on record by saying....e-logs suck! I'm gona start referring this truck as the nag mobile or the beep mobile. At an hour b4 you're out of time, beep, at 30 min b4....beep, at 15 min...beep. And get to 1/8 tank of fuel it beeps every 30 seconds for a while and fuel gauge goes nuts. Then 5 minutes later, it all starts beeping again. I need ear plugs.

Lol...wait til you go ovr on your 11 or 14...I've been on elogs for about a year
And a half. You will get used to it...especially not having to recap your day. That's sweet. And there is NO arguing with disp about how much time you have either

I'm too old school for this...I can't remember the last time I had a problem with keeping up with what kind of time I used or had left....at least accidently. I darn sure don't need another nagging piece of technology yaking at me...I haven't had my Garmin nag-a-gator off mute in 2 years. On top of that, I forget to turn down the stupid thing before I got to bed...and wake up to it nagging me about a message that it just received (that was just a no reply, general info - b.s. message about a safety meeting a 1000 miles in the other direction that I never planned to attend anyway)

Plus I never argue with dispatch about hours...if I say I'm out and they don't believe me...then they can just beep until it breaks...I can ignore them just as good as they ignore me. And when I get up...then I'll see what alternate plans they've made in my absence.

I've been awakened in the middle of my line 2 time by BS messages and I stopped them by going to line 4 to answer the message and then restarting my break. Get all the drivers on the same sheet of music and watch how fast dispatch stops bothering you.

Can't you turn those things down? We use the MCP200 at Schneider, and while the red light of impending doom will flash at the intervals SSB stated, you can turn down the volume and never hear a word.

I find it also helps if you mute the navigation feature as well. Never hear a sound.

Don't run me off now...I'm coming to Crete in January....unless I hear more stories about sitting 36 hours waiting for empties....

Mine will still announce 'a new message has arrived' w/volume down....only way I figured out to stop is 'settings' and go to 'speaker' and change it... I got another message about missing paperwork...another screwup by camscaning....they should've called it crapscan or conscan. So an already short week last week got shorter because the paperwork from the t'called load from the crash never got to them and I didn't find out until Monday night at 8pm...so, Merry Freakin Christmas to me.

I'm gona start a new 'for hire' business...Bad Karma Sponge..."fed up with bad things always happening, tired of always having bad luck, call Snackbar's Bad Karma Sponge service and kiss your bad luck goodbye!...that's right, for only $29.95/month he'll take all the crap for you. Satisfaction guaranreed, or your money back(if he survives) call now, credit cards and comcheck accepted....but hurry, this is a limited time offer, while Snackbar's sanity lasts"
