Honestly... the only person to make that choice is yourself.

Just remember... it is usually easier to find another job if you are currently working. I applied to my current company back in end of June. Beginning of July they called me and wanted me to start that next week, told them i needed to finish my contract and they called me on vacation and scheduled orientation right after. USA also called me on vacation (because I was late coming back to the truck) and I told them I quit.

You will most likely be happier and make more money if you move to a new company. Just research them before moving and make sure that is what you want and they don't have to many empty promises. I am liking my new company... I make more money... Make more net a week here then I grossed a week at USA. I'm home everyday, winter time I have weekends off, spring/summer/fall I have most weekends off with some work occasionally on Saturdays (my option), and I pull pneumatic tanker and pretty much every customer and loading place are very friendly as they want you there!

Write up the truck at the shop when you get there. And don't call the safety guy a Whisker Biscuit ! Trust me on that one,it took me over a year to get false info off my dac. Oh yea, start looking b4 you switch

As I posted in another thread, I was told by my USA Truck trainer there was 2 trainers working out 2 weeks notices over low miles. I guess you make 3 trainers about to leave. Sad this is really sad to see, and I will leave with the same question I asked in that thread. I wonder who will replace these 3 trainers. BTW I am in Ogalllala Nebraska watching it snow, I was speaking to a friend at Van Buren and this person told me USA Trucks unassigned tractor % was up to 13% now. I am only talking about tractors ready to roll but setting because there is no driver assigned. Can anybody verify this?

It is around 13% and grows everyday! USA wonders why the are lossing drivers and trainners? Its right in front of there face but do not want to except whats going on? If I do stay with usa it sure will not be as a trainer!

Hey, there are lots of drivers there that are happy. Thomas takes pride in his work and has never used hyperbole to describe his career choice. Actually it's people like Thomas that keep USA Truck in business. And I am sure he gets tired of all the USA Truck bashing that goes on in here. So how about giving the guy a break, please.

Sounds a lot like MY perception of how I was treated at PAM.

Three longest waits for dispatch, 27hrs, 36 hours and 72 hours! Checks matched.

I delivered in McCarran (Reno) Nevada tuesday afternoon. I did not get a dispatch till late Thursday morning, then had to drive empty (.20 a mile) to Boise Idaho to do a drop and hook onto my present load. I once sit in Miami 2 1/2 days waiting on a dispatch. It's just the nature of the beast, sometimes you get laidover.

I'll chunk in my cents worth. Bout' 05 I left USA right after orientation. They wanted me to go to Shreveport, LA and recover a truck for myself. The bus they put me on stopped at Texarkana. I tried to buy a ham samitch with the comdata card they promised held my orientation pay. They told me they would put it on the card when I got on the truck in Shreveport. "But I need a samitch now."I said. Long story short I had them change my ticket to Houston and found a better ride. Never did get that orientation pay either. Ah, well, were prolly both the better for it.
