in a Rest Area in BFE TX on a 2 lane, with the Lone Star Convoy (we are takeing up 3 of the 4 truck spots)

Clearfield PA... dang its cold! The well-digger got frostbite on the posterior in Scranton last night, and that was a heat-wave compared to this!

 

You bunch of parking spot hogs.

 

Hell right now 5 of the 15 or so spots at the Columbus rest area are ConWay Truckload.

lmao, actually when I first pulled in I was parked crooked. my head was pounding so bad I straightened it up slightly then relaxed for about 20 minutes.

I ### hate Houston, couple of people there I don't wanna kill, but the rest of the city would be improved with a nuke.

This rest area is a JOKE for truck drivers. First of all its like a freakin maze, you are on a 70mph 2 lane then out of nowhere a little 12" sign (rest area) skinny little Tunnel of trees to get in, and if you can navigate to the truck parking area sign, you then have to make a turn that we could barely make with a 48" spread lol. Its a 90* right turn around a massive rock, and while turning it goes up at like a 50* angle. Then IF you made the turn and had the power to pull that hill, you will see there is only 4 spots here .

And then you have to walk a country mile down hill to get to the bathrooms, there are no vending machines, and then you have to walk back up the hill! lol


On the other hand it is very nice, but i would be happyer if i were prepared to be at a rest area...like have food and drinks and preferably showered but oh well tis life.

Spit bath, refrigerator, microwave and empty Coke bottle. You're good to go. At least it's quiet and you have a parking spot.

 

keep babywipes with you, it ain't as good as a shower but you do smell better and are cleaner than nothing at all.

 

there are bathrooms here.

I have a microwave and Chunky Beef Stew

and a few bottles of water, but i could go for some junk food


and it isnt so quite both of our other drivers (1 on either side of me is idleing)
