I am at the rest area just east of Cle Elum, WA, waiting for I-90 to reopen (closed westboud due to accident, and some avalanche control) so I can go over Snoqualmie in this snowstorm and hopefully get up to Blaine, WA.

Edit: This has been the most useless journey I've ever taken. Blown tires, chaining/unchaining multiple times, road closures, freezing my arse off... wishing I'd refused to take this load. They weren't lying when they said the PNW was getting heavy snow.

Soooo, looks like the I-90 westbound in WA at Cle Elum is closed due to multiple wrecks now, one or two of which are semis, and they were carrying hazmat. Greeeaaaaattt... looks like I will be sitting at this rest area for who knows how long now.

This is the worst Christmas ever.

You could check to see whether Stevens Pass is open and, if it is, go up over Hwy 2. Go west to exit 85 Hwy 970 north to Hwy 97 north and take a left at Leavenworth.

I wish I could take hwy 2, but I am bound to my company routing. Hopefully the road will at least be open in early am.

    Then off to Blaine. Yay.

    I hate snow.
