Finished all 3 Home Depot unloads, and now I have a load picking up tomorrow at 1100 going to MA on the 13th. A nice 1400 mile run.

So now I have time to relax, and I can sleep in tomorrow morning.

 

Usually these breweries have scales at the gate, weigh you empty coming in and loaded going out. If there's a problem like 78,000 they send you back to the docks to get another pallet lol.

Morris IL, pickup tomorrow across the street and bounce down below Kansas City KS then come right straight back to Morris for an easy 900 mile turn landing on Saturday which means possibly sitting til Monday again waiting for a load like last weekend.

 

Food was slightly better than a T/A, service was worse. Waitress was a little bimbo in her early 20s who gets by on her looks, but lacks any charm in going about it. Irritated the living crap outta me.

Meridian, MS ... Deliver in Dallas tomorrow ... hoping I don't get stuck. Been running real steady for 3 weeks now, don't want to break the streak.

 

Looks like im going to spend the night over @ a drop yard here in houston, tx the one over at 5800 mesa dr. Myself and 2 other swifties here @ krogers are out of time and when I went to the loves & pilot earlier they were packed.

They sent me a pp while I was driving today out here, 495mi nonstop, get here and they want me to go get a load from the dropyard, wait 5hrs and deliver it few miles away.. uhh, not when ima bout -> <- this close to doing a safe haven tonight... so once again, why do we send in macros every day if they can't see the simple math on hours available.. common planners wake the heck up.

 

Here in Fontana. Was checking MAC 30 this morning and did not care for what I was getting. Changed my PTA until friday morning, then checked again a little later, and got a nice lite one from Irvine, CA to the prison in Hunstville, TX. ramen noodles. DM said that since so much time on it, del on Tuesday, they might have me t-call it., Told them, leave me alone, I will run it all the way. I need a easy and relaxing drive. Eight hours a day and I am a happy camper.

 

Sitting at the terminal in New Boston and then heading to Iowa with a Tcall to finish out the week..

 

Brought a t call down from Inver Grove to Lebanon, IN. A couple hour jump to Washington, IN then up to Bridgeview, IL. Then hopefully home for the weekend.

 

Upgraded to solo yesterday in Laredo about 90 days from that first day at school in San Antonio. There were no trucks so rode back up to SA with the shuttle driver last night to pick up my new ride at the Central Freight/ Swift Academy yard. Spent a good part of the day cleaning; truck (2010 International Prostar, 293K miles) was filthy inside and out.

My new DM is having me bt back to Laredo in the morning to get it detailed and re-equipped (chains, new mattress, etc) with the promise of a load out Saturday morning. Being a new driver and a realist I expext to be SWIFT (Still Waiting In F%$#*%# Texas) on Monday.

All in all, I have had great time and will continue to do so. Thanks to all of you who have directly and indirectly helped me on this new journey. I look forward to meeting all of you down the road.

Made it over to this dropyard, place is packed w/ trailers swift and central.
Place is tight to back into, just like a truck stop @ 9pm. I saw a def fuel sign, hope its for swift, as im on 2/8 tank, no time to stop past 2 days, as my 70 is extreemly low, I have 32mins left on my 70 and a 4.30, 6, 9 rolling off. Not sure who's ### I've got to kiss to get a reset, but for the past 4 days I've asked to reset and get a flat out NO.

 

Torrington Wyoming and just found out what Rocky Mountain Oysters really are. Almost ordered them thinking they where oysters just never heard of oysters being sold by the half pound...

Made it to our destination with the over weight load but scale house less than half a mile away from delivery...
